I have it on GOG, Steam, and DVD. It's an awesome game and the whole series is awesome.
The game for me now is collecting the free games!
Sad I rarely play them..
Having many games is a selling point when time comes to sell your PC.
I remember buying this game >10 years ago
It's actually a neat little game, very similar to the old Heroes of Might & Magic games where you roam the lands, building a rag-tag army of whatever monsters/humans you find along the way and conquering a big map.
ha. I'm actually playing this right now. what are the odds.
Amazing game like Heroes of Might and Magic! I've mastered it by playing on impossible difficulty and not loosing the single unit through entire game. Grand strategist :-)
Great game, excellent series. Why arent you playing it!
Maybe more people would play it if the image shown above (in the Go To Deal section) was the same as the one on GOG page to claim it.
King's Bounty artwork is high fantasy sleaze, but sadly the games are quite innocent.
They wear more than most of the instagram influencers who are praised for their style.
For any HoMM3 (Complete edition) fans out there, I can't recommend more highly the Horn of the Abyss unofficial expansion. It's designed in the same vein as the official expansions, with balance and many QoL changes (but no janky total overhaul), a high quality new faction AND campaign, with a second new faction and campaign nearing completion.
Other unofficial expansions often have very average art assets for custom factions (along with no campaign for them), and those factions typically replace existing ones rather than adding additional ones.
They even got the original sound designer/composer to score it for them. You would think this was designed by 3DO.
I saw they actually remade the game a while back and got all the shits from the fans. Really love that game, can still hear the sound ‘3DO’ when I read it. The only issue I had with it was the walls of text lol Still the perfect game imho.
Kings bounty is close but still far from it. I’ve played it a bit back when it came out, it’s a dire-homm3 at most. The animation felt redundant almost, and some other bits that didn’t quite sit right.
anyone having issue logging in to gog? I got error "The CSRF token is invalid. Please try to resubmit the form."
I played the first ever Kings Bounty back in the late 80s or early 90s when it was released. It was mind blowing back then. Although some of the battles took forever in the late gaem scenarios (but not as long as a late game 8 character party of Pool of Radiance style, that stuff could literally take hours). I don't think any of the subsequent games ever held the magic for the KB series since. Might grab it anyway!
Will I play it, probably not. Will I still add it to my collection. Definitely.
