@Typical16-bitEnjoyer: One quote from Appliances Online
"Be aware however, that the total capacity for the machine does not mean that this full amount can be washed for every cycle. For example, a 7kg washing machine will only wash the a full 7kg load on specific programs."

My Samsung 10kg does 10kg loads.
"under one or two carefully chosen wash cycle"
I find it hard to imagine people carelessly selecting their wash cycle

Do have difficulty understanding the points being made or are you being deliberately obtuse for the point of being argumentative?

                • -1

@Grunntt: I have six carefully chose wash cycles to choose from, which is basically all of them. Can you find another random anonymous review to retort with? lmfao.

You seriously have difficulty reading what is actually written (I bolded the next line so you shouldn't, yet again, be able to miss what is being written).
There is no random anonymous review anywhere referenced in my post.

If you believe you are making a careful choice when pressing a couple of buttons predetermined for you then I can see how you are having such problems with understanding the written word.
Please try to actually think about what you read before you reply with some unrelated point in the future.

  • This is the one I would have bought, unfortunately they were sold out at the time.

  • why wouldnt i get a washer-dryer combo for twice the price?

    • +1

The combos aren't heat pump dryers and if you have some vertical space you can stack this on a washer.

    • +3

      A couple of reasons

      1. Generally the combo units are worse at both washing and drying

      2. You can wash a load and dry a load at the same time. This isn't for everyone, but with a baby, we find that we'll wash baby's clothes, face washers, flannelettes in one load, then run them in the dryer while doing the adult wash load at the same time.

    • +1

Combos aren't heat pump and use a shiteload of water to dry. Yes, you read that right. Regret buying mine.

  • Tempting!! thinking of replacing aging washing machine with a Washer Dryer combo (2 in 1). Does anyone have any recommendations or better to stick to separate dryer like this one?

    • +1

100% stick to a separate heat pump dryer.

Tempting!! thinking of replacing aging washing machine with a Washer Dryer combo (2 in 1). Does anyone have any recommendations or better to stick to separate dryer like this one?

I think washer/dryer combo units are really best suited to homes with limited space (like a small apartment) or a person living alone who has small wash loads to do.
If you need to do more than one load you are stuck waiting for the first load to dry before you can start the next wash.

  • This or wait for another Esatto dryer?

  • I note a comment on the eBay listing:

Connection requirements: This product requires a 10amp electrical connection. For more information, please contact Winning Services or your electrician.

Arent all Australian household power points 10A ?

It might be an issue if using a powerboard with washing machine connected at the same time.. which is what I was intending to do as the wall mounted power point is inconveniently right behind where the dryer would go…

    • It might be an issue if using a powerboard with washing machine connected at the same time..

It only consumes up to 560W according to the manual so as long as your washing machine (and anything else plugged in to the power board) uses less than ~1,740W it'll be fine to use them all at the same time.

  • Does anyone know where I can get a mat that is big enough? The only ones I can find are 600x600 but this dryer is 600x650

Or will a 600x600 a mat be sufficient as the feet will be located further inwards?

    • +1

I suspect it would be ok - but I can't say for sure.

    • +2

600 x 600 is what you need, this is what I'm using for same dryer. Just took quick measurement and the dryer at the base is 59 cm wide x 56 cm depth. The feet are then further inwards from that measurement.

  • Call Power Land at Warwick Farm, NSW, I'm sure they'll match/better this and almost any

  • Any deals for refrigerator

  • This or Esatto EHPD80 ?

Esatto = 7 Star with 3 year warranty for $642
Haier = 8 Star with 2 year warranty for $691

    • Depends how much you use it. I went with esatto because outright cheaper, we don't use often, 3 years warranty not bad. Quality probably the same.
We had esatto waking machine which was good

      • +1

I ended up choosing the Haier - arrived this afternoon.
I would have liked the extra warranty, but we have several other Haier appliances, and that extra Star efficiency..

I have not turned it on yet, but it looks good, and has a noticeably bigger door/drum than our old 7kg dryer.
The delivery guys were great - provided a 2 hour delivery window by text - and then another text 30 mins before arrival. Unboxed it for me and took away all the packaging.

    • Sun = 10 Star with billion year warranty for $0, 32 outside and we are just in spring. this might be reasons for the make downs on these.

      • hello you have reached alan richman at 5550122 please leave a message at the beep. Hello alan richman its alan richman reminding you to move the pork chops from the freezer to the refrigerator so they defrost properly do not disappointment me.

  • No delivery to Bris, its like they have stopped deals cause the rebate is on…

    • +3

Why would they intentionally deny themselves profit? They're not paying for the rebate.

I think it's far more likely that because the rebate is on, lots of people bought one since it's cheap, so stock has run out. It's not economical to ship such large heavy items across the country one-by-one so you wouldn't get one delivered from e.g. VIC to QLD.

  • Any user reviews on Haier?

  • This deal is still going and stock back in QLD for any waiting to use the rebate
