Looking for a New Basketball System. Any Recommendations?

Hi fellow OzB'ers.
I'm looking at upgrading my son's junior basketball system to a more sturdy and full sized one.
I've come across 2 that I'm looking at, but am open to looking at others.
I'd like to keep it to $1000 or less.
(Let's be honest, it's probably more for me than my 6yo son.. LOL).

The 2 that I'm looking at are:
1) Spalding Exactaheight 50" Acrylic Portable (RRP $950)
2) Spalding Fadeaway Basketball System 52" $799.
I'm open to looking at others as long as it's within my budget.

Will you be shooting in it as well?
Friend has one with the smaller backboard for their kids, and it really throws our shooting off

  Yeah, will be playing too. What do you mean by throwing your shooting off??
  Main thing I want to know is that it's stable enough that when I shoot from a distance, the system doesn't wobble.

Spend a bit more if possible and get a glass backboard.

The acrylic ones are not great for bank shots.

  Would love a glass one, but at this stage, can't justify spending that much.
  MyDeal.com has a glass, no brand one for about $600.. don't know if I want to risk this one.
  Shipping across the Nullarbor is over $1000 anyway, so definitely a pass :|

i bought this in 2020 covid times - 48" acrylic…its 3 years old and holding up well in full exposure to the elements.

lots of fun gets used 2-3 times per week, has 5 year warranty on backboard

i think i paid $399 minus 10% cashback, its now $450 but still great value i reckon - there are about 10 of this model now in local front yards so a popular budget pick.

shipping kills deals on these - FYI it just fit in the back of VY commodore after you snap out the bottom of seat assembly

    yes. any 'cheap' home set up will to a certain degree, unless you stump up for a concrete bolted steel and glass set up which can run thousands
