  • This is my favourite Ice Break… Thanks…

    Not a great saving

It's normally around $3.50 so this is about 70% off…

Coles usually have them on sale though for 2 for $4.50

So it costs a dollar and your privacy. Not worth it.

That number above is just a standard number, not the 55c premium number, so yeah depends on how much a regular text costs on your plan

    • yes… and i believe they will send you further promotions sms. then you will have to send another 'stop' sms to stop it.

I love the phrase 'no ADDED sugar'. Doesn't mean there isn't sugar just that they didn't add any extra.

Can't half tell you watch today tonight/ a current affair

Rephrase that please. That sentence is incredible hard to understand.

It was more of an accusation than a sentence…

I don't watch those shows and can still come to the same logical conclusion that sirflibbled did.

Sugar free milk needs to exist before sugar free ice break can exist.

      Use your brain please.

      • I am. There's also sugar in the flavouring and other ingredients. Which is why I don't put weight in the phrases where there no 'added' stuff as usually it doesn't mean a whole lot. Per 100ml the difference in sugar is 2g between this and the usual version. The Kj count is a difference of 4kj.

As I said, it's a pretty pointless advert. The 4kj difference is miniscule considering the average intake is 8,000kj.

How's that for using my brain.

        • Name the ingredient that has sugar in it that is adding this extra sugar?

The ingredients should be coffee, milk and natural sweeteners.

I'm guessing you pulled that post out of your behind.

        • +1

          Sugar is a natural sweetener… :P

According to their official website it has 36 grams of sugar per 500mL bottle. For comparison, 500mL of regular Pura milk has 24 grams of sugar and 500mL of regular Ice Break has 47.5 grams.

So "no added sugar" Ice Break has 150% the sugar of regular milk but only ~75% the sugar of regular iced coffee.

Where does the extra 12g of sugar come from though?

        • Thats the question though, its a shame there is no ingredient list on their website.

Generally no added sugar is not a big lie, so I don't see why this would be.

        • Milk contains lactose (sugar) and the amount per 100mL is about 5.4 grams. For a 250mL drink you could expect it to contain up to about 13g of sugar.

        • No I used the information on the website. As they don't list the ingredients who knows what is in it. But you can make assumptions on the nutritional information that it makes zero difference if you go for the 'no added sugar' version compared to the ordinary version. They only change the recipe as a marketing tool. It's clear there's no benefit to it.

    • Yes, milk contains sugar when it comes out of the cow. :)

  • Hope it tastes better than the big m 7 eleven recently promoted.

    • it does…

What happens after you send the SMS? I waited for an hour and nothing happened. I am using the $2 SureDeal on ONEMobile/SureTelecom/Optus 30-day Unlimited.

    • +1

Your phone number is added to a marketing list and sold to other companies most likely.

      • I got nothing after 8 hours, so I am calling this a dud deal.

I am not afraid of my mobile number being added to any list. This number lasts only 30 days and then I am on to the next SureDeal voucher (and a new number).

  • -1

says no added not no sugar

    • oh really?

Thanks! I can't read so your post was really helpful!

  • Just got my SMS voucher, no code on it so I guess you can use this as many times as you want?
