Yeah this is pretty normal, will occasionally go up a bit but generally 3.50-4/kg is what you pay at colesworth.
It was $2.70 last week.
Meanwhile 49c for 1kg at Gabba fruit markets in Brisbane.
Bought at $2.90/kg two days ago. 🙄
Can confirm, bought from Woolworths yesterday for $2.80/kg.
That's a bargain ?? Ffs

This lebo dude in Liverpool regularly sells 10kg boxes for $10
@easternculture might know.
That's a lot of broccoli!
Go to your LOCAL fruit and veg dealer

@ my local coles this morning $ 2.80 kg no deal.
I like my Brocolli shaken not stirred says Barbara
Who eats broccoli raw? Serious question.
….and what does it taste like?
Good
Eaten raw broccoli in salads for years. Enjoyable crunchy goodness!
Broccoli can be enjoyed raw with little preparation. Florets can be incorporated into salads, added to a veggie platter, or enjoyed dipped in various dipping sauces and dressings.
Just search for raw broccoli salads.
Yeah it not bad, broccoli bacon salads are quite tasty.
Grilled it's very tasty.
First tried Nandos PERi-PERi Grilled Broccolini.
Now a convert to have as addition to hot food or part of salad.
A favourite vegetable of mine.
replace the word broccoli with anything: anything bacon salads are quite tasty
I boil it rapidly for just under 60 seconds. Then toss it in a mix of oyster sauce, mirin and sesame oil - absolutely delicious.
Steaming, until still crunchy, is better to retain the many nutrients.
Raw is better still…
@jv: Not according to research on Broccoli!
Food preparation can have an effect on health benefits of food.
Based on research published in PubMed:
Effects of different cooking methods on health-promoting compounds of broccoli Steam is best form of cooking for broccoli
And Steam cooking significantly improves in vitro bile acid binding of collard greens, kale, mustard greens, broccoli Steaming is better than raw for health benefits.
Both are good for us.
Well yes, but this is super fast and is still delicious and healthy.
One of the deadliest plants on earth. It tries to warn you itself with its terrible taste.
Prepared correctly it's tasty & healthy for you. Seems you haven't done that.
Like all brassicas, terrible tasting & mushy when overcooked or old, releasing sulphur! That's unfortunately many people's first taste of Brussels Sprouts, cabbage, broccoli, etc… Overcooked for ages in a bain marie.
Still crunchy is best, as in stir fry, grilled or raw in salad.
Sorry I’m just amusing myself with Simpsons quotes. Broccoli is indeed tasty especially when it soaks up the sauce in a stir fry or similar dish
@Hugh Man: Too many Simpsons eps for me to remember that🤔
Soaks up the sauce… Yes it does🌳
Could be gene related!
Interesting!
"Genetic variants appear to play a role in food choices.
Specifically, whether or not you’re genetically predisposed to perceive bitterness—and therefore bitter veggies."
Glad I got the broccoli loving genes🌳
This deal sponsored by big broccoli.
And big farts.
Like this place is not already bloated enough with anything.
This is not a deal - just normal weekly pricing. It was $3/kg last week I think and Woolies in Syd North Shore is same price or less.
I just bought 4 huge heads of broc at Spud Shed- 4 heads for $2.00. FYI, for anyone who has one nearby.
That's super cheap- would be <$2/kg?
Normal price. OP needs to rethink posting stuff that they obviously have no idea about the pricing.
Isn't that the normal price?
I've been buying it around that price for a number of weeks now.
