Hi,
I dont think I had posted here before so please delete if it is not allowed.
I am working from home and my current NBN bill is $65 with Dodo and it was not good at all (in terms of stability and speed, and cost also). Since I know OB, I currently bought some Boost prepaid SIMs for its data for my phone and thought it might be worth cancelling my NBN and using Boost for the data instead.
What's your thought and how are you doing with it? FYI, I tried couple days using my iphone to hotspot the data, and have a long life SIM for my business phone number. Its all good until during a meeting someone called me on my phone, then the internet connection got lost.
Have you use any better way to cast the wifi: ie any suggested equipment for hotspot? any better solution to reduce the internet bill? I even thought buying a Dongle for data in case the normal internet got lost - any recommendation please?
Thanks in advance.
I'd churn from Dodo first, see if you can get a better provider. Otherwise maybe 5G if that's available?
I've done it temporarily, but it didn't seem to do the phone battery life much good (and these days I have a home server and security cameras, so I want internet at home while I'm out).
There are some cheap 4G home internet providers, then you can have a proper modem and wireless router. Belong is $15 for 20GB a month, JB is $20 for 25GB, Spintel is $28 for 50GB.
