These two great anime titles are on sale now and definitely worth getting, I bought myself a copy of each.
BluRay copies are $19.98.
Before they were on sale I believe Summer Wars was $32.00, so it's over half price off. I'm not sure if they have any other anime titles on for sale as I can't really tell on the website and I'm unaware of when the sale ends, but I just thought I'd put this out there for fans to see. :)

The Girl Who Lept Through Time was very interesting. I wouldn't really call $15.98 any kind of bargain, but worth the price no less.
Yes, I just received an e-mail from Amazon UK with these titles, but apparently there are 1-disc and 2-disc versions (in both DVD and Bluray), and Amazon UK has the 1-disc versions.
I got this one. They're 1-disc each.
The DVDs should be region 2 and wouldn't play on most oz dvd players.
EDIT: forgot to mention. amazon.co.uk removes VAT.
the item comes to 15.8 gbp + some 3~4 gbp shipping.
so it's roughly 30 AUD
These are 2-disc versions, not the regular 1-disc versions, although I have no idea what extras you actually get with that.
I would get them on blu-ray if you can.

Also Jb has the live movie version of "Space Battleship Yamato" (also known as Star blazers ,anime from the 70/80's) for 15.98$ in Blu-ray format. I think it also comes in the buy 2 get third free sale at Jb, price at Madman is 29.95$
If you can hold off buying from JB for a day or 2 I would. I'm hearing strong rumours of a 20% off sale starting very shortly however I haven't posted it as I have no firm confirmation as yet.

Girl who leapt through time is much cheaper at Zavvi if you have a multi-region DVD player and don't mind the single DVD version. (£4.95 + £0.99 shipping ~ AUD 9.12)

I didn't like Summer Wars but Girl Who Leapt is a great movie. Saw it a second time recently and it was better than I remembered it the first time.
I don't like the prices though. Especially for DVD. Anime is expensive.
I know what you mean, it is really expensive however 15 dollars is a pretty average price for a movie and especially for an anime one.
I'm used to buying my Bluray movies for $10 and under at Amazon. A bluray anime for $15 would still be a good deal imo. But I wouldn't pay that price for a DVD.
Did JB decide to jack up the prices of anime. I got Code geass complete s1 earlier this year for around 30 bucks and now its $76
You would have gotten that deal when they had their 20% off sale along with another major discount on all the top 20 Madman anime.

I'm waiting for the Bluray before I shell out though.
