Update as of 4th Sept : finally got the email that my ABB has closed, so this took exactly 1 week to resolve.
Update as of 1st Sept : still not resolved, Telstra/Boost are saying its ported successfully, ABB saying my service is still active and not cancelled and that I shouldn't cancel incase it actually messes up my number completely as the port is not successful on their end.
Like many others, I've been on a sim churning bandwagon and havent paid much for a phone plan in a good while.
Jumped on Aussie Broadband 2 months free (postpaid) for both my husband and I, although I signed up on the 30th June and 2nd September, they've already generated a $87 bill for September :| so quickly jumped onto porting over to Boost.
Ported over our numbers, and about 4 hours later I received the success email for my number. However, my old sim is still active to my number, and so is the Boost sim! So both sim cards are working with the same numbers. I'm receiving texts to the Boost sim and calls from the Telstra network, but my husband's calls are going to the ABB sim. ABB sim card can still call and text with my number. Telstra have raised a case that can take 2-3 business days to resolve but if I close the ABB sim, is it going to mess up my number? I'm pretty attached to my number lol. ABB and Telstra have both confirmed that my numbers are active within their services.
Husband's port is also stuck, apparently theres no issues but it just wont go through and they've also raised a case and said 2-3 business days.
ABB said its prorated so hopefully I won't have to pay too much, but at ~$2 a day probably negated all the profits I got from jumping around. Will probably just spring to a yearly plan after this :(
Anyone have any suggestions? Not sure if I should cancel my number from ABB since its like..halfway ported.
I have also asked Telstra if it would help if I transferred the sim to another spare blank Boost sim I have, they said no it wont fix the issue.
Call their support number?
