  • This torch is normally around the $45 mark

Not for damaged ones, please update the title so it is less misleading

    • Cosmetic damages to packaging = who cares?

        Cosmetic damages

How do you know without testing the torch? Looks like they have been crushed…

and if it's damaged, do you need to pay to ship it back the the US ???

        • you can always pay $45 for a pristine package:

do you like complaining about stuff even when other options are there?

do you like complaining about stuff even when other options are there?

The title was misleading, and now it's fixed… Stick to discussing the product and stop trolling…

        • The site says "NONE have cracked plastic cases where the flashlight is enclosed."

Their facebook page says "We have a box of E40's which UPS lost. They found the box in a corner — it got there because the box tore and the contents were falling out. So UPS reboxed them and shipped them to us. In the meantime, the E40 packaging got beat up… So we are going to have to clear these out at a discount"

        • Not for damaged ones…

It's not damaged, it pretty much says that in the description if you bothered to click the link.

It's a Fenix, it can stand up to being crushed more than that packaging. If that's not cracked, the flashlight definitely won't be.
The description is pretty clear in the amount of damage.

fenix make some good lights, but no info on whether it tails stands (doubt it) or whether it is a flood or spot beam.

Would probably make a good torch for a car glove box.

  • •Powered by 4 1.5V AA batteries (Ni-MH, Alkaline), readily-available

Where can you get 1.5V Ni-MH batteries from ?

I thought they weren't suitable for LED torches because they are only 1.2V ??

    • I don't think 1.2V is a problem. My Fenix TK40 works fine with 8 Eneloops.

    • +1

a visit to candlepowerforums will answer that question.

for the record, i use eneloops in all my led torches, and canon speedlites. no dramas.

      • i use them no problem in my speedlite, but they don't seem to last very long in my led torches.

        • i have the fenix e21, LD15, LD12 and the sunwayman m40a xm-l. eneloops last pretty long.

It might because your torch is one of those that comes with a soft switch, so there might be a parasite drain due to standby.

the other thing is check your batteries, it might be due for a refresh or recycle charge.

  • awesome deal, i just ordered 2.

  • No warranty applies to these torches.

    • +2

Where'd you get that from it says they do on their website??
"These carry the full Fenix warranty"

  • Great little torch that uses AA's, its a beast of a thrower too! Just ordered 2, great find

  • Appears to be now sold out.
