    • Looks like this is for the Gel Kayano 28 rather than 29

  • Title should probably say @ Amazon DE via AU

  • is 154 dollars for a running shoe that much of a deal?

For people who need this type of shoe, it actually is. It's classed as a stability shoe and it's the exact shoe my podiatrist recommends to me. I walk 120-150km a month, they make a difference! They're actually running shoes but I can't run due to injuries. I'm getting pains back now which is my signal I've worn my current pair out.

I get it though, before I knew this, I never spent over $20 on shoes.

      • 100% agree, used to wear bigw/Kmart sport shoes when younger. Never looked back after being on Kayano's. More than 15vyrs now. I am flat footed ..it's a blessing

        • Wow, I wish I knew and did something 15 years ago. I'm about 2 years in. Flat footed also. I think next time I spot a deal I'll buy 2 pairs at a time because I've noticed I wear mine out in 6 months. It's deceiving because they still look good (I guess that's the difference with a quality shoe) but they'll stop supporting me by around then (about 750km)

Unfortunately I need 2E width which most of the deals on here don't stock.

          • @Click_It: I just bought kayano 29 .. 2e width a week ago from sportsmart in Victoria for $179
Was reading ..Kayan 30s (just launched) don't provide much arch support as before… They have gone Hoka way.

Probably that's why 29's are out of stock in lot of places

            • @akplayer: I managed to find some on Amazon (US Import) for $159. 29's in 2E. Yeah I spent some time looking into the 30's last night and thought maybe the 29's are the wise buy for me too

The thing is im not sure ASICs is worth the premium.
Lots of decent branded shoes cost so much less (PUMA, saucony, etc) with similar quality

        for example this shoe
        https://www.runningwarehouse.com.au/Saucony_Guide_15/descpag…

is on the list for best stability trainners and is much cheaper (brand is great as well)

        • Interesting. That first one isn't in my size otherwise I'd be tempted to try them out at that price.
