25% off Blurb Photo Books

10

For those that haven't heard of Blurb, its a great way to make quality photo books. I've been using it for many years to create great travel photo books and I even printed my wedding album using Blurb.

They have just started a Refer a Friend program, so if you are a new user and make a book with Blurb, you will get 25% off your first order with this link — http://refer.blurb.com/go.axd?ref=NBRLOR

(This is an affiliate link as I will also get $15 credit)

Normally their discounts are around 15-20% off, so 25% off is pretty good.

  • Just looking at Blurb the other day. I found an interesting book by an artist that he (self?) published on here and seems not to be available anywhere else. I find it a bit expensive though (the link from his site advises US $88 and it $122 - might be temporary as it was on a few news sites recently) and am waiting for a good discount / reduction in price. http://www.blurb.com/bookstore/detail/2065724 The discounts I have seen are almost all for 'making your own' and not buying.

So if your buying try 'LOOKS' it says its a 'cascading offer' which I guess means not stacking?

I tried your refferal link but saw no changes in price - I had registered previously but not purchased.

Also buying directly from the US store is cheaper. I know the show 'Australian' prices but I don't see that they are printed or shipped from here (which would have been a big plus).

    • Also note they add on tax at the end (so maybe it is produced locally). So any prices you see expect to be bumped up in the final step.

      • The prices of the books you can buy are set by the Bo
book author, even though Blurb does take a cut. This arrangement I think makes it hard for Blurb to offer a discount on published books.

The instructions suggest that you have to set up a new account to get the discount, so you may want to try that. I suspect that the codeword only gets activated on your account of you create the account using a referral link.

I've also found that the US store can be cheaper but i've used the same login to buy from both the AU store and the US store, so that shouldn't be a problem. I don't know if they print locally, all the ones I've printed so far have shipped from printers in Europe.

        • Thanks for the info .. I hadn't looked but suspected the BO set the price and Blurb added some markup on that. I have emailed the BO and asked him to match the price he has on his website … that plus the LOOKS code will get me to buy the book I would think.
