What happened to the Redline, Huffy, and Diamondback chrome moly rigs of my youth? That was some rad shyte.

    • I thought Huffy was Kmart since the 90s. Redline and Mongoose was what you wanted in my neighbourhood

Back in the day I had a redline with 3 piece cranks. Then bought a GT Vertigo and put 3 piece cranks on that and had it powder coated dark blue. Odyssey gooseneck and odyssey brakes with huge chome stunt pegs. Use to free style in brisbane City grinding on all the marble benches around town and war with the skaters and Rollerbladers. Haha

Justin timberlake had a GT Vertigo when he was into BMX.

My dad took us to a Norman Ross carpark sale in ~83.
A red, average looking BMX with Shimano printed on the pads…turned out to have Araya rims, Tange forks/3-piece cranks and was lighter than my mates' gooses (one was a Mong, another said to be a Super).
      It was a Shimano 4000.
      Possibly my best ever bike.

    • SE is where its at. Give me a PK Ripper any day

  • Be home to accept delivery, in my case could not be left at collection agent due to size and courier depot is an hour away for me, makes hard to surprise a kid on their birthday or xmas cos both parents work, and few if any shops to pick up from 😕

  • This ain't no Mongoose Pro.
