Maybe not just another cinema…
Angelika Film Centre is a New York-born arthouse cinema chain.
But will also show mainstream movies.
This is their first dedicated Angelika Film Center outside of USA.
8 screen, 400-seat 2500 square metre cinema complex.
3 of 8 are SoHo Lounge cinemas - full-recliner seating, table service, and access to the SoHo Lounge Bar for wine, spirits and signature cocktails.Located in the new "South/City/SQ" precinct. Level one, 160 Logan Road, Woolloongabba, Brisbane.
(4km / 15 min by bus South of city center, 2.5k from Dendy Cinemas Coorparoo).
The website looks the same as Reading Cinemas.
Reading International, Inc. announced today that it will open its first-ever Angelika Film Centre at South/City/SQ in Woolloongabba, Australia on Thursday, August 24th.
Because it's operated by Reading.
Contact us on Angelika Film Centre site is directed to Reading site.
For example, Korean film "Past Lives", showing in 40 seat Soho cinema on Sunday is $10 + $2 booking fee.
Thanks for the tip, 94 on Metacritic!
Same price other days for Soho cinema (morning).
Or $5 + $1.50 booking fee for Premium Sunday (night). $5 more other days.Good reviews. 97% Rotten Tomatoes
"This is the real deal. If you’ve an interest in five-star contemporary cinema, you miss this at your peril."Should be interesting & intimate in 40 seat screening.
And cheaper than New Farm ($19 adult) etc.Not so interested in seeing a blockbuster release in an arthouse style cinema.
Enjoyed the Korean Film.Festival in Busan years ago - was given free critic tickets by overseas Film Critics. Got to attend Q&A sessions with actors & Directors as a "film critic". Very memorable!
Looking forward to more cross-cultural views of Korean culture & people's lives.
I want to neg this so bad because booking fees, this is like paying a surcharge to use self-service.
I concur, it's hateful and on the margins of what's legally acceptable. All the cinema chains are into it, as is the entire entertainment ticketing sector.
Still looks to be good for $10 given the picture shows what looks similar to gold class seating.
Wonder when mission impossible is out.
Agree with maxwellian about the booking fee but gave the deal a + as booked for Oppenheimer on Sunday in SOHO for $12. Definitely going to need the comfiest seat available to watch anything 3 hours long.
EDIT: Loooking closer Oppenheimer is $10 +bf any day, so I didn't take advantage of the Cinema Day Deal.Same price other days for Soho cinema.
Or $5 + $1.50 booking fee for Premium Sunday. $5 more other days.
$10 tickets for opening week to 30-August for SOHO.
National Cinema Day Tickets 27/8 are half price ($5) for Premium
From 31/8, Soho tickets are $32 + $2 booking fee instead of $10 + $2 in opening week!
Ha, and people were complaining about the $2 booking fee for the 10$ deal
Was my thought too🤔
"Australia's first Angelika Film Centre opened today"
I had a quick look at the link.
Is it just another cinema?
