What Tape Is Non-Residue on Plastic and Doesn't Damage 210gsm Paper Board?

Howdy

I'm making few paper boards (https://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/quill-a4-b…) with various cutouts to stick over small video monitors to help better visualise non-standard video ratios.

What tape should I use to ensure:

  • it doesn't leave residue on the video monitor's plastic, which does get a bit warm during operation.
  • doesn't take off a thin layer off the paper board roughing up its surface.
  • tape will easily come off on both surfaces, the tape is on for a few hours at a time, never longer.

Tape strength is not a concern as board is light and monitor is mostly stationary.

Thanks heaps

  • Magic tape. Not sure if it still exists.

    Edit: yes it does

  • Blu Tack®?

  • Dust removal tape has the lowest adhesive properties.

  • If the monitor has a reasonably large bezel you may be better off using clips? or you may be able to get away with folding the top of the cardboard over to make a hook similar to those over the door shelves.

    • The paper hook is a great idea, will try this instead, thanks!
