I’m heading to the UK in a few weeks and was wondering if there were any items that would be worth buying, to bring back to Australia, while over there? Any bargains or special items that can’t be bought here or online?
Items Worth Buying on Holiday in The UK to Bring Home?
Comments
Chocolate tastes better in the UK than it does here (esp Cadbury/Dairy Milk/Galaxy).
Its a different blend of ingredients. We have a blend that has a higher melting point, while the UK doesn't as it rarely gets above 10c all year round (jk).
US is different again as they use sour milk as part of the base chocolate. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Any bargains or special items that can’t be bought here
Coke is cheaper there.
Hazardous to fly home with. Particularly if transiting in Asia.
Real digestive biscuits.
Fish and chips?
Good point, get them while you can.

Scottish lambswool scarves from The Edinburgh Woollen Mill.
A Harrods tote bag from Harrods or the airport.
Post cards, fridge magnets, posters to frame, a yorkshire pudding (must declare), a London Tube map, hot chips with vinegar or curry sauce.
Hoodies from UK universities, royal merch.
Vintage jewellery from antique shops. Not all that many things more lame than buying a shopping bag from a shop you didn't buy anything at
Brexit merch. (should be discounted now)
Fast fashion from Primark; and the no-longer available here Magimix Vision Toaster
Monster Munch. I would say Terry's Chocolate Orange and Jaffa Cakes, but you can buy them here now. You should buy banana shake from McDonald's while you're there too.
i was going to say monster munch but you can get them online too in australia.
not hugely cheap though
my kid loves those percy pig lollies

We found some great tshirts in the Museums.
great memories.
Warm beer.
Bit late to the thread, but just got back from the UK:
Note, now the £ is $2, so stuff ain't cheap.
I love Maggi sauce, and over in Australia only have the Chinese or Thai made version. Waitrose in the UK has an Eastern European version, with unique herbs and spice essences mixed in with the soy, got addicted to that - so brought a few bottles.
I also love me chicken salt. Tesco's in the UK has a Jamaican & Polish section (side by side in the Tesco I shopped), and you get some funky chicken seasoning, brought back two versions of each ethnicity, love them and will bring back more on me next trip.
Mountain Warehouse, similar to our Kathmandu, are clearing out winter gear. Got some high quality beanies n winter gear, good value even after conversion.

Also we don't have prawn cocktail (Skips) or pickled onion (Monster Munch) crisps here.
Some PS5 games are not released here in Aus if that's your thing (e.g. Nacon titles).
Would have said LUSH/The Body Shop but noticed both available here now. Maybe not in your area.
Clothing might be a consideration. NEXT and Marks & Spencer are on every high street and much better quality for the money than anything local here. Let alone plethora of other brands there to shop too.
Beyond that, don't really have anything else I miss from there.
