Does anyone know the cheapest way to get a spare key for this car?
I don't want to spend >$250 so I'm looking for the cheapest option. There are some videos on YouTube where they show how to clone one key but you need to have 2 keys.

Nah, after being scolded by a user that once read something on a YouTube comments feed that I was wrong, I don't do automotive locksmith questions, I leave it for them, since they are the expert.
Also… Lol @ "emote" key.
That makes sense. Cheers
Have you tried some local locksmiths?
I got a new key for a 2014 Ford Mondeo done in 2020 for $150.
You just need to call around.
There's videos on Youtube that show how to hotwire your car. I'd suggest those.
A spare key without remote is only $100 at my local locksmith
It has to be with remote and coded.
coded included at $100 but if you need a remote the cheapest is often $150-$200.
The cheaper option is to buy the key from Aliexpress for around around $30-$40, you need to know the chip frequency FCC or part number then ask them to cut the key as well for just $5. Then take it to the locksmith here to code or you can do it yourself but only with some old car models following the instructions on Youtube.
Thanks.
