I got these about a month ago for a similar price (now showing lowest on camel x3) and have been blown away by the sound quality and latency when gaming on my Steamdeck. I originally purchased them just for the SD for gaming but found that they sound really good with a lot of bass for the semi in-ear style, have ~7hr battery life, great microphone quality when making calls and get really loud while still being clear and sounding great too.

I was looking to replace my Soundpeats Air1 with the Air3 for the low latency gaming but was willing to take a punt on these Truefree T3 at around half the price of the Air3 and I'm glad I did.

I think for ~$30 they are a no-brainer even if you don't like the orange colour. They have 4.6/5 rating on the Amazon reviews and many people glowing about how great they are.

When using them with Steamdeck make sure to change the bluetooth profile from SBC to SBC-XQ codec/profile in the desktop mode audio settings to get very close to the 43ms latency advertised. Without changing the default SBC on Steamdeck the latency is closer to 200ms.

Not my preferred colour by any means, but the sound quality and features more than makes up for it and the translucent look is pretty cool.

Looks like a special edition colour partnership with ozbargain haha.

Have these for over a month - bought it to replace my older soundpeats air, but soundpeats continue to get more pricier.

These have been flawless, decent quality, no connection issues, and plenty of battery life for my uses. Very comfortable as well.

    • Hey mate, can you please confirm these are the nice earbuds that don't jam right in your ear? I usually like the shallower 'open' ones as use them for running but wouldn't mind a pair just for listening to radio on the train and taking some phone calls.

  • Anyone tried these out with a nintendo swtich? I take it they should connect over bt fine?

  • How do these compare vs gen 1 airpods? Mostly looking for the fit. This will be for a secondary pair of non-sealing buds as my main pair is the samsung buds+ and they aren’t very comfortable for sleeping.

That colour isn’t great but would be a good buy if you don’t care

  • How is the phone call mic quality on city street during the day.

    • Watch the review video, tells you all about them with examples.

  • I just bought these and having no reference point other than what I got from my iPhone 14 Pro and I was underwhelmed and thoroughly disappointed. I guess I'm a bit of a technopleb and can't help but wonder how on earth have you managed to get a loud and bassy sound from them…? I've already initiated a return with Amazon.
