  I bought a cadisen watch about 5 years ago (according to my gmail history) with a seiko movement for about $40. Still runs great today, stupid value for money watch. It was the same at the time, couldn't buy the movement for the price of the whole watch, seems they keep doing it.

  outstanding good value for a nice looking dress watch, the 9015 is an excellent movement and with sapphire glass! Clearly "inspired" by the Jaeger LeCoutre Ultrathin, but 1% of the price, if you love the look and don't care about brands, its a great deal.

    I do, but I guess you really don't.

    I don't have this watch so can't compare directly to the other watches that I have with the movement.,,, but plenty of reviews from respected watch reviewers and on the watch forums. I haven't seen anyone claiming it is fake.

  Damn you @nifty1, at just over $121 after CR cashback for a Miyota 9015 movement, I just couldn't walk past it, even with that "diamond" @12 :-).

  For the price I got them at a few years ago, been quite impressed with both my Cadisen 1030 and 1032, so looking forward to seeing if this lives up to the level of quality promised in the online reviews.

  Got mine delivered today.

  The good:
  -v. refined dial
  -blue second hand gives nice contrast, dauphine hands & hour markers look elegant
  -diamond @12, branding &: lettering understated, surprisingly not that gaudy, but maybe that's just my ageing eyes not being able to discern the fine detail without glasses :-)
  -sits nicely on wrist as dress watch that easily sits under business shirt cuff - concave underside makes it sink lower visually into wrist then it's true depth

  The bad:
  -band is thin &: unsubstantial
  -band clasp is very clumsily implemented - looks like they are trying to copy a Seiko Presage Cocktail Hour, but fail rather miserably at that
  -automatic movement is noisier than I was expecting - maybe it's just that the rotation seems to go on longer than my other automatics so is more noticeable. Probably indicates better efficiency of this movement. Very pronounced if hold to ear, but noticing it less after just half a day of wearing.

  For the price I got it at after these discounts & CR cashback is a must buy for any bang for bucki automatic watch collector, just need to add on the price of a decent leather band and that will make it absolutely pop, even in circumstances next to much more expensive counterparts.

  Will report back on accuracy after a few days of real world wear.

    After 2 days of routine wear (morning to early evening), then dial sitting on it's side overnight, lost about 3 seconds per day.

    Pretty happy with that and noticing the automatic movement sound much less now.

    Overall, still v. impressed for $121.

    Still thinking about what I'll do for a decent band replacement.
