Alternatives to Coles GC as I usually use SB for this…??
Buy ShopBack Supermarket gift card (actually a digital Activ Visa card) which is 2.5% cashback. Can be used at any merchant classed as a super/market and has the added benefit of not counting as a gift card at Coles checkouts at least so can be used to buy gift cards. I used several to buy multiple physical Coles MC gift cards during their instant bonus 2000 points flybuys promotion last week.
Happened a few days ago.
I got lucky and bought for 2% then afterwards people said it dropped to 1.75%.
Shopback restaurants payment also has 1.5% surcharge now.

Pretty ridiculous, many other places still offer 2% on Amazon GCs.
I feel like SB has changed from being about maximising benefits for their subscribers with profits being a secondary benefit to now being all about profits. The only deals that are any good these days require a Westpac card and after getting an ANZ card in order to get all the offers on Cash Rewards only to have them end the offers a couple weeks later I'm not opening another bank account. Definitely a decision by the accounting department as they could easily still offer 2% and still make money.What’s the best places for Amazon gift cards now?
More a case that shop back have a lot of competitors now. And more people are opting to buy second hand. I know my Facebook market place sales are booming compared to a year ago.
