Panasonic Lumix S5ii with 20-60mm & Bonus 50mm F1.8 Lens $2999 Delivered @ Diamonds Cameras

140

Great deal on a great camera if the 50mm f1.8 is of interest to you.

You can get the camera with 20-60mm kit lens for a little less without the bonus offer.

Not all time low for the kit without bonus, $7xx bonus lens offer does make it the best deal thus far I believe.

I finally moved from m43 system.

Amazon is cheaper and don’t offer the bonus lens
Digi direct also cheaper, as are a few others, but not offering the bonus.

      • You are right, I thought it was a factory bonus for all.

  • Does anyone know if it's possible to use the camera as a good webcam for Zoom/Teams? I read that it isn't very easy to do on this model, and they have the S5IIX version for professional streaming (but that is a) not discounted with bonus, b) much more $$$, and c) still finicky with their ethernet streaming capability).

I actually felt like I wanted to get into the Lumix ecosystem, but yesterday bought a sony due to its plug and play webcam feature.

You will need to install the software, it’s in beta but I’ve found it OK. A lot more stable then the Fuji one for sure

    • Grab yourself a USB HDMI capture card. They can be found for around $20 on ebay and capture 1080p 30fps, and are based on MS2109 chip. They act like a USB webcam so should be compatible with all video calling software. If you want higher quality, you can get 1080p 60fps usb capture cards based on MS2130 chip. Ebay listings that mention 60fps without mentioning the chip are likely fake and will only do 30fps. Unfortunately I don't know of any reasonably priced 4k capture cards, but the Elgato Cam Link 4K is available for $230 if you really need it.

Got one after they added live view composite in a firmware update. Such a useful tool.

  • I can't see where the 50mm is included. I can see the little picture saying "free with purchase" but it looks like the same 20-60 kit lens to me.
