In terms of value for money, the ToolPro 3000kg Low Profile trolley jack with ToolPro 3000kg Ratchet Jack Stands can't be beat (currently on sale for $309 trolley jack + stands or $260 + delivery on eBay with afterpay) but considering these are two of the three items that form the holy triangle of how not to die when working under your car, some people out there will be willing to pay more for products that are trade quality.

*The description in the total tools listing states it comes with K12274 jack stands but it does not, it comes with K12074 type 2 jack stands which have the same saddle and are functionally identical to the K12274, but don't have the safety pin of the newer model. Allegedly the pin on the newer model is a bit useless as it is not a form of redundancy that engages another ratchet tooth on its own, but rather just prevents the handle from lifting for convenience more than anything else.
** As you only lift one half of the car at a time, you probably don't need a 3000kg trolley jack but they are much, much beefier than their <2000kg counter parts, gives you more peace of mind and are more convenient to use as they lift faster. Similar story with jack stands.
