  • Only 90 lumens?

    • +2

Yes AAA or AA powered lights generally don't put out a lot of lumens

      Only keychain torch?

      Only one AAA?

  • Does anyone own this, could you chine in how long typically the torch/light will last for a standard AAA battery on the highest setting? 10 hrs?

      From the website:
      70 min with NiMH battery
      45 min with alkaline battery

    • +6

the marketing image on the regular i3e says 70 minutes with a NiMH rechargeable battery, 45 mins with an alkaline.

Torque Test Channel on youtube have tested other olight torches to be accurate in terms of lumen output and run time, so I'm inclined to believe olight here.

It's not really a torch for long-term use, more something to keep on your key chain or person in case you drop something at night, need to find your way from car to house, etc.

Personally I find the 90 lumens almost too bright for what I usually use it for, so I've moved over to one of their USB-C rechargeable keychain lights, which has a 5-lumen low mode. Also for the same deal (just pay shipping) during a sale, for people who have bought from Olight before..

There's only the one setting, 90 lumens. Just had a quick look online and you'll probably "only" get 1 hour from the one AAA.

My toddler has been playing with his torch, shining it this way and that for a few weeks at least and it's still the original battery in there. I just took a look at my wife's torch and it must be a few years old. That's still got the original battery in there too. I think most people probably don't use their keychain torch for long periods of time. It's just there just in case. I think if you know you'll need a torch for any length of time you're going to go with a different torch.

I've got one of these and the i1R2 (usb rechargeable) and feel much safer keeping this AAA powered one in a hot car. Great lightweight backup torch well worth $8.

I got the orange one from the last sale and I'm really impressed with it. Well worth the $8. I'll be getting this blue one for sure.

Consider it 7.95 and free shipping

your phone flash light works as a torch , and it's free

    • +5

Where did you get your phone for free?

    • +5

Try holding your phone in your mouth while using both hands to work with :-)

A bit more info on the $6 coupon here.

    Not too shabby.

Thanks. Updated the post and credited you

    • I'm a dumbass, does this mean a $6 coupon/discount automatically applied at checkout for previous customers? TIA.

      • I believe Iron members are just customers who have made a purchase at all, possibly including these freebie torches. I have already put in my order for this current promo and I was able to add and remove the coupon at checkout. You'll see tonight for sure if you get the coupon I guess.

I don't think the coupon will reduce postage but I did buy a spare battery and was able to get the spare battery, this torch and some other free stuff from their preferential zone for about $13, just a little more than the cost of the battery by itself.

  • Does anyone know where the spin page is? Can't seem to find it

    • Don't think they have one going at the moment.
