Bic Classic Shaver 5pk $0.43 @ Target

70

Found these at a target in Doncaster (melbourne), not sure if it is this price everywhere but I would assume it is considering it is a clearance range according to the ticket. Don't know if these are really bad or not as I don't use razors.

Let the puns begin!

  • I assume these are really basic but are they trustworthy to use in the nether regions?

    • +1

I've used Mach3, Excel, disposables and DE Safety Razors in the southern region. They all do the job fine…

      • +7

So they work in Victoria then, how about Queensland?

I think they were talking about shaving the hair around the genitals. Easy to get confused though.

Easy to miss humor as well :p

He may be sharper than you think. By QLD he might mean the face.

        • +7

          Known to irritate Tasmanians.

Hopefully these are suited for use with old-growth forests.

Don't think so, just saw a couple of his other comments :)

Umm, yeah! Had someone who was visiting Qld from NSW ask, in all seriousness, "will I use more fuel going UP to Qld, then coming home again?"

  • +1

Pity you didn't show more of the pack, but I assume these are the disposable razors. Good for travel.

Single blade, 43c is all they're worth!

  • Classic!

  • +2

after you've gone up to 5 blades, going back to 2 just doesnt "cut" it anymore

  • +4

These are so bad. They have no lubrication strips, and is single bladed meaning it is very difficult to shave without any bleeds from cutting yourself by going over the same area again for it to shave properly.

    • +1

Exactly, not even if they are free for me.

    • +1

You are right TScott, plus they are a poor quality, and this can cause irritation and skin allergies as well as being environmentaly unfriendly. A DE is a better choice for a similar or lower price than this BIC deal.

    • +2

Agreed. Only buy if you want to cut yourself or if you're a fan of shaving rash.

      • +1

i cut myself so rarely these days, but when I do, I put some aftershave in my hands ready to stem to flow of blood and quite literally, my hands are shaking, im sure if they could speak they would just say "i dont wanna, i dont wanna" lol

Gotta love the whinging over 5x name brand razors for 43c…only on OzB!

As greepossum said, these throw-aways are great for travelling; great find OP.

  • I had a look today at my local Target and there weren't any of these, but this offer is actually not that much cheaper than buying a pack of 20 for what seems to be normal price of $2.00, assuming you want that many. I have enough for foreseeable travel so I held off buying.

People keep mentioning that these would make good travel razors. They don't - single blade razors are crap, pure and simple, unless you are 12 years old and shaving your peach fuzz. They make disposable double and triple blades - I really don't understand why anyone would even consider these single blades - does travelling make them any less crap? Do people not mind nicks and chafing when they're on holidays? Do yourself a favour and buy some disposable double or triple blades - they last much longer and don't tear your face apart!

    • Do yourself a favour and buy some disposable double or triple blades…

Ok, do us a favour & point us all to the 43c doubles & triples then bro… ;)
