20% off roccbox and 7 out of 22 available accessories. Weak.

  • If only they had the Yellow Colour Roccbox included as part of the Sale, you have my money!

    • Very picky there, too bright!! I reckon will shows dirt more..

  • Any thoughts on how the Roccbox stacks up against the Ooni Koda 12"?

    • +1

I have Koda 16 and very happy with it. If I to buy another second oven I would def buy RB compare to Koda 12. Much better value considering the included quality peel, thicker stone, better insulation, rolling over flame and faster recovery time between pizzas.

      • Just bought a Roccbox from BBQ's galore (before they sell out) to replace their Arrosto "clone" of Koda 12. Hoping will be a vast improvement.

        • Great buy, home cooked pizza is a learning journey, but once you mastered the dough and others, it is very rewarding. I believe the RB has higher ceiling so can easily cook more than pizza, should get cast iron pan and try steak, charred grilled chicken, fish and more..
I do poolish dough using PizzaApp with some diastatic malt, it is next level.
I had Arrosto for 3 month, then sold it and got the Koda 16.

          • @huntabargain: Just had first cook. Infinately better. And that was just on dough on made today. Bulk ferment straight into doughballs for secondary and into the oven. Although they were just over 70% hydration, so didn't get as crispy on the bottom as I would have liked. But very impressed for first cook. So much less goes wrong with it even with slight variation, honestly impressed.

            • @AmperSand: Wow already used it, that was quick.
I think RB might take longer time to preheat as stone is 19mm thick vs 10mm for Arrosto and Koda 12". So it is just a matter of small tweak to get the perfect result of cooked crispy base and leopard spot crust.

        • Is there any advantage to buying it from BBQ galore over directly from them?
Any further discounts on BBQ galore?

@ravalparth: Discounted gift cards or may be store next to him, so faster pick up??

          • +1

@ravalparth: Click and collect, get it today. BBQ Galore have been pretty good with after sales stuff too.

          • +1

@ravalparth: It's not much, but 1.5% cashback on gift cards through the Shopback app…

Last Roccbox sale there was 10% off gift cards, so that was good timing!

        • Current unavail for click and collect or delivery, so must be sold out already (actually, this is just for the Green colour)

    • hmmm RB's are considered to be generally "easier" to use. Ooni's tend to be hotter where the flames are so some turn down the heat after launching, RB's tend to be a bit more balanced with the heat source and roof.

  • I currently own the KODA 12, however, thinking of buying the RB to replace it. Any thoughts on if the results would be better?

    • Since you already have Koda 12, you should know if you happy with end result cook? and the con and pro of your oven. If you asking the Q then kinda give away the answer?

    • "Gas burner sold separately"
If compared with RB, using gas, wouldnt ooni cost similar?

gas burner cost another $180 ish?

      • Yup. But then you could say the RB is $200 more if you want to use wood.

  • The oven linked in the deal must be 12" or smaller, because there's no single dimension/size mentioned in the listing.

    • Under tech specs

      External oven dimensions: 413mm W x 531mm L x 473mm
      Cooking floor dimensions: 315 x 340mm

    • What you on about? Has it been claimed that its larger than 12"? You should know better pizzaguy.

    • My bad. It took a fair bit of scrolling to get there.

  • Would the turning peel be necessary to get started with this as well? Or is the included peel enough?

    • +1

Not needed at start, at later stage you can get cheap one from amazon/ebay. I would probably get IR gun.

      • Thanks. Appreciate the feedback!
