Can’t remember if my iPhone SE 2nd gen was locked or unlocked when I got it I been using boost a few years now.
What I want to know is how do you check your phone is unlocked to take any sim as I plan going overseas uk next month and buying a uk sim from a seller on here but not sure if it will work or not.
Is there a way to check your phone can take any phone?
How Do You Check Your Phone Is Unlocked?

So all iPhone are unlocked then?
Yep.
Thanks
@bwatt72: Can confirm, used to work in telco retail, iPhones are unlocked. But if your really want to make sure, put a competitor sim in, either a Optus or Voda sim in your phone (since you're using boost). If you get reception, it's unlocked.
Negged for asking a valid question * rolls eyes *
Take my upvote to even it out.
To be fair
No carrier locking for iPhones.
could mean anything. Maybe they don't work on aircraft carriers. Or iPhones are locked when used by letter carriers.
You can also see it in the settings. Go to settings-general-about, scroll down to Service Provider Lock and it should say no sim restrictions which means it’s unlocked.
borrow a mates sim for 20 seconds
takes longer than that to take out the old sim

iPhone should be unlocked by default but if you want to double check, pick up a $2 simcard from one of the other telcos, like voda or optus to check. Just pop it in, you should get signal/no prompts to 'unlock' the phone.
for iphone
Settings > General > About. If "No SIM restrictions" appears next to Service Provider Lock, your iPhone is unlocked.
