Following previous Google Domains deal here: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/790580 , you may get an additional year on WordPress.com if you happen to use their service (?). Not sure how about the consequences of doing this but seems like a deal or some sort.
Please be aware that wordpress.com is NOT the same as the official Wordpress site at wordpress.org
Using wordpress.com will limit your ability to install plugins without upgrading your account.
