This might be obvious but i need to be sure. I am looking to go to Universal Studios with the kids but every date i see is sold out for the fast pass so
1) Is there any other way to get one online?
2) I hear you can buy them on the day? is that correct?

I got mine through Klook recently for our upcoming trip.
We got ours through klook recently. They cancelled it 3 days before we were planning to attend park due to “availability issues”
What month are you trying to buy them for? They may not be released yet.
I just got back from a Japan trip where we went to USJ in Osaka, did everything we wanted to and left by 2 PM. The biggest tip is to get there really early, we were there by 7:00 am and you were able to get a free timed entry into the Mario world ride and we just planned the rest from then on.
Do not visit any japanese theme park(fun park, not a japan themed park) on the weekend or public holiday.
I went on a school day and the lines were still packed with school kids in their uniforms. 4 hour minimum for each line, nfi how they got the day off or mass wag day

You can buy it on the day itself, but the price of the fast pass will probably cost more than 1.5 to 2 times the actual entry ticket. This is supply and demand driven the pricing is dynamic throughout the day.
The only other way to buy is through websites like Klook or JTB.
