I find if you chop them in half before cooking they taste better.
The dumplings are good though, always got the freezer stocked with them.
I never tried that.
I find the meat is too soft on the blue pack. But I'll give it a try.
bluepack they taste off/too salty for me
definitely the worst of them
this has been $4.00 frequently in the past 2 months i know of. While is good, but not to a point worthy in Ozb on its own.
I remember a short time ago these were frequently on special for $2.50, save $2.50. Sigh. I gave the post a tick anyway.
As for the dim sims, I quite like them. Would not want a meal of them though. I usually microwave them but occasionally cut them in half and fry.
They were 200g back then. Then they increased the pack to 300g for $7.5 ($3.75 at half price) so the price hasnt really gone up that much (yet)
Hong Kong Dim Sim Pork and Chive Dumplings
Reported
"Made in Australia from at least 98% Australian ingredients"
2% hk
Oh… thanks.
I've removed the report.
I tried reporting Coles once for stocking Spanish onions that apparently also came from Australia. LIARS!
I now am banned from all stores.
Any suggestions what to have with these apart from soy sauce? We get them a lot and I'm after some variety.
i can think of the classic Sweet/chilli and sweet n sours
o hell yeaa
I'll usually have Weichuan dumpling sauce with stuff like this. Or you can make something like it with some chilli jam, light soy sauce and shallots.
Chilly oil + soy sauce + sesame oil + black vinegar
Pork Dim Sims is much larger size at 480g.
why do both "dimsims" look different style ?
Marathon Dim Sims are rarely on special, and when they are it's not very big special (10.5 -> 9)
The Siu mai one is the best
Hong Kong Dim Sim Pork Prawn And Mushroom Siu Mai | 300g is good for $4.
It tastes best with Sriracha Chilli Sauce and soy sauce.
How does this compare to other brands (taste, filling, etc)?
Same price at Wollies
Equal parts soy, black vinegar and sweet chilli sauce. Trust me on this
This is the worst dumple I have tried, in particular the thick and hard skin.
Avoid this blue pack(coles.com.au) one. It's the worst
