Pro Plan Adult Salmon Dry Cat Food 7kg $72.52 ($68.90 with AutoDelivery) + Delivery ($0 to Major Areas) @ Pet Circle

70

Remember when dry cat food cost around $10 per kilo? Time travel with this offer from Pet Circle - 40% discounted Pro Plan Adult Salmon Dry Cat Food now $68.90, with free metro delivery as it’s over $49.

Not the best ingredients in in my opinion, but with current prices, and since Petbarn stopped price matching international online stores posing as Australian, I decided to grab a bag to bulk out our regular dry cat fud.

PRO PLAN Adult Salmon Formula Dry Cat Food combines all essential nutrients including vitamins A, C and E, also Omega 3 and 6 Fatty Acids in a high quality diet for cats.

Ingredients List

Salmon (dehydrated Salmon, Salmon); brewers rice; dehydrated Chicken-natural glucosamine source; whole grain wheat; oats; corn protein; tuna (dehydrated Tuna, Tuna); poultry oil; minerals, vitamins, amino acids, organic acids and flavours (including calcium, phosphorus, sodium, chloride, potassium, magnesium, manganese, copper, zinc, iron, iodine, selenium, vitamin A, vitamin B1, vitamin B2, vitamin B3, folic acid, vitamin B5, vitamin B6, vitamin B12, vitamin C, vitamin D, vitamin E, choline, arginine, taurine, pyrophosphates, beta-carotene, liver flavour); fish oil; dried Bacillus coagulans fermentation product and natural antioxidants.

  • Great price but unfortunately 7kg is now sold out.

    • Still showing in atock for me

      • Yet still showing as OOS for me. Wonder if it depends on your location and the closest Pet Circle warehouse? The 3kg is available for $65.17 but the 7kg is sold out for my location.

A message from OzBargain's resident pet food critic:

Dry cat food is a prime cause of kidney disease in domestic cats, who are biologically evolved to consuming moist food. Dry food is great for human convenience, but not ideal for your cat's health. If you want your cat to live its longest, healthiest life, please minimise how much dry food they consume.

i didn’t know this , i feed my 3 cats biscuits and all are over 15 years now n pretty healthy still

It's true, in part, but due to a deficiency of liquid intake rather than anything wrong with the dry food itselfi i.e. it arises in cats who eat dry food alone and don't get enough water. Essentially if the cat drinks water additionally, or the dry food is a supplement to moist food, there is unlikely to be any issue.

        • oh yes i feed wet food as well

  • whole grain wheat; oats; corn protein

cheap (subsidised) filler crap that no cat was made to digest - no human should be eating corn crap either

nope, along with many of the other ingredients…..
