Price is great! I bought about $90. Be aware it's a bit big and heavy.

    • +1

Half a kg according to Baseus, for those wondering.

and be aware of previous comments from users:

        goddammit. I just bought one.

Hopefully I'm one of the lucky users.

PSA gleaned from the previous comments - don't leave a lightning cable plugged into any powerbank, it drains apparently.

        • +1

well Baseus eventually agreed to refund after submitting videos to them. but it was still annoying for me as i found out about it a week before travelling.

          • @meong: Did you buy a replacement?

            • @andresampras: Yeah Anker 140W.

I realised id rather go big instead of gambling with lesser known products…

              • @meong: Anker is better? Which model you bought?

          • @meong: My first one just wasn't wasn't charging.. you plug it in and it will charge for less than 2min before it is at 100%. The run down from the battery was in seconds before it went "flat" with no power.

I had to prove my case to them as well using videos etc.. They were going to give me a refund, but I wanted the unit and ask them to replace it for me. They did, but told me I will not get any warranty on the new unit as a result. (but the new one actually works fine).

            • @bchliu: Weird indeed that they would negate the warranty on the replacement…

This is what i dont like about dealing with Baseus as their cust service os based overseas so they don't have much idea about how the consumer law in Australia works…

        • I brought one a year ago, never used it until the power was out…. didn't work, would accept power but not charge anything.

      • Lots of problems. Good idea. Poorly executed.

Mine doesn't hold charge.. Can't be charged.. Only managed to get a partial refund

      • +2

Bought mine in Jan this year. Lasted about 3 months of minimal use then all of a sudden wouldn't charge. After 4 months of back and forth with their customer support team sending multiple videos showing it didn't work with different cables, chargers etc, the finally sent me the refund.

    • I watched the video again to see why I'd previously disliked this one. Baseus has their specs right. The guy doesn't know how to read them (pretty unexpected from a guy who owns all that gear) . It's like hard disk capacities. You need to know how to read them and what they mean.

      • What did he get wrong?

        • +1

The advertised 20000mAh is in spec. This seems less efficient than the Xiaomi/ZMI No. 20 I have. But for the price, seems okay.

I think at this price the alternative is the Kogan one.

  • Finally bought something that charges my Macbook on the go.

  • +1

FWIW used this on a month long holiday OS - no problem with it on planes and charged everything we threw at it.

    • need approval to bring this into the plane?

      • This pack is equivalent to 74 WHr so good to check per airline. Many I've read up on have 100 wHr limits per device.

        • ah yes i remember the easy guide is anything below 27,000mAh is okay without approval but yes using the calc is accurate

  • Was planning to buy one in China. But with discounts it’s probably still cheaper here.

  • +1

Turns out there’s a blade and a blade HD which is the same specs but 50g lighter and a bit shorter.

  • +1

I own this. Easily the best power bank I have ever owned. Its not going to fit in your pocket but its not heavy and 100w output is bewdy

  • what good timing i was just looking at one of these last night.

  • nice whats the capacity in whr?

    • +2

      74Wh (mAh/1000 = Ah x 3.7V gives you the capacity in Wh)

      • cheers, I'm never sure what cell voltage they are working from when they quote mah. Have any dodgy manufacturers ever used lower voltage cells so they can quote higher mah for the same capacity?

        • NiMH like eneloops are like 1.2V. But you’re not going to see those in these types of power banks.

        • +2

We are safe from this because the chemistry is the thing that determines the voltage. You can switch chemistry and that's about it.

        • They will lie about capacity, not vOltage.

60% off battery banks aren’t their rated capacity, including this, this gets to about 55-60Wh in reality.

I always tell people, you get what you pay for when it comes to batteries. If you really want something that’s actually really good, id suggest a zmi no20 off aliexpress. I do battery bank roundups yearly, it’s by far the best bank money can buy and price to performance.

  • So these could fast charge 2x phones if their combined wattage is under 100w yea?

  • +3

Just bought its little brother (65W) yesterday for 60.99$ and the form factor will be the perfect fit for the underside of the Steam Deck case. 👍

  • +1

Have this one, I find it a little clunky to use and weirdly enough when I have an lightning cable plugged in when not in use it seems to drain the battery. I haven't experienced this with other power banks.

    • thanks for this, almost pull the trigger

  • Any issues/considerations with Lithium Polymer?

  • wow 162mm thats big

  • Don't know if this is normal but mine seems to
    1. Buzz when multiple devices are plugged in
    2. Stays at 96% charged when plugged in. Will only reach 100% sometimes
    3. Stops charging devices when it hits 20%

    • +1

      seems like a faulty battery

    • I'm just going through a return/refund because mine stopped going beyond 96%, then 94%, and now 92%. Wouldn't recommend…

Bought the Anker 737 instead. Twice the price so hopefully it lasts!

  • Thanks, got one

  • Can finally upgrade my romoss

  • +1

I am unlucky. My powerbank died after a year….wouldn't buy from this brand again. Bought from their ebay store.

  • +1

Bought this unit last year for $80. It charges the laptop and other things fine however it loses the charge very quickly. It won’t turn on and when you plug it in it starts charging from 40 or 50 percent.

  • +7

Just note, these can’t sustain 100w charging despite being rated for it. They will lower their output as it heats up, and the actual capacity isn’t 74Wh, its closer to 55Wh.

In general flat pack Li-Ion aren’t great for high power charging like this. Youll run into issues if you try to actually use this at its full rating.

If you’re charging phones, that’s fine. If you’re actually going to charge laptops, you should use banks with actual 18650 or 21700 cells like the zmi no20

    • +1

I've noticed the same thing. Powerbanks with cylindrical cells like 18650 or 21700 seem to be better. I don't know why. My ZMI No.10 QB820 does an amazing job and its gotta be like 5 years old by now.

  • +1

Baseus has been a miss for me as well, issues with multiple products from them, and support has been useless. "Oh, sorry, its out of the 30 day warranty period? Tough beans."

High power output devices like this can be great, I have one 100W one from Kogan that is running strong, and the zmi no20 also looks good. Wouldn't be able to trust this one.

    • +4

Baseus ebay is handled by overseas "hello so sorry friend your product is not working for you can you kindly send videos…"

      • +1

I've had issues with their stores on aliexpress too.

        • Yes which is why this product i liked but died without even much use.. but i just thought maybe it was a one off

  • +1
    • I'm waiting for good price on HD version as well…

    • +1

Unfortunately, the Blade HD isn't sold in Australia.

If there was enough interest I could probably do a group buy and import.

  • +1

Bought one of these not long ago, it's a piece of junk. Half the time it won't charge up, and it's extremely picky on the devices it decides worthy of charging.
Give this one a hard pass, at least from my experience.

  • +2

Poor quality. Dead after 4 months (does not charge any device) and was talking to a brick wall trying to get a refund.

    • Any advice on how to streamline the refund process if needed?

eg what info should I arm myself with before contacting them

      • Video. Try to reproduce the issue.

  • +1

Judging by the comments here, fair to say "cheap for a reason"

  • Based on comments the jury is out on quality but I can't fault the delivery speed. Ordered last night and received it just now.

    • yeah same here, fast delivery - they can't wait to get rid of em lol

Looks like QC is lacking, some ppl seem to love the thing but looks like the failure rate is quite high, anecdotally.

Fingers crossed for our units eh

  • Hey guys , does ebay have a consumer security, if the product is faulty? this power bank was great and fits well into my camera carry case. but it died. last time I bought it off aliexpress on baseus page. they denied a full refund or even a replacement after 4months later not being usable.

you opinion would be useful.. thanks in advance

    • Based on my experience of getting warranty/refund for this powerbank and one other Baseus product in the past, unfortunately the experience will be no different buying from ebay AU as the Baseus rep on eBay AU is based overseas and have no idea about AU consumer law.

Only security for you would be Paypal or Ebay Plus if this was an Ebay Plus item.

  • I’ve been backpacking through SE Asia for 4 months and had no issues with this power bank so far….it’s been great and the fast charging of my iPhone is great

  • I'm going to say I hope this doesn't flake out on me because I love all the info in the display. Any others with that much detail?
