Will Solicitors? Want to get my Will done

I am looking at getting my Will prepared, just wondering what would be the cheapest way to get it done - I live in WA.

I did an automatic online Will using Slater & Gordon Online tool which was posted as a free deal on Ozbargain, however I was only allowed to choose their standard answers and there was not much customization allowed if I wanted to have it done for Free. Since I had a few changes to make, I could not take benefit of their limited time deal.

Any suggestions please ?

  • You could try one of the will kits you can get from the post office or newsagent. Choice magazine did a comparison of a few here: http://www.choice.com.au/reviews-and-tests/money/shopping-an…

    • do you still need solicitor to make the will kit legal?

      • TBH, I've never used one…but I'd say that if you do need a solicitor to ratify it then the kit would be rather pointless! ;)

Best you don't use a do it-yourself-will kit. I'm a law student and I've had barristers and property lawyers tell me that it is better to get a solicitor to do it, rather than having your estate deal with a disputed will further down the track.
