    It's okay. Turn-based combat with a generic storyline - I'm saying this as a day 1 player.

    What really draws you in is: min-maxing, collecting your favourite characters, the community, and the art style.

      The storyline is quite generic but I've found the minute to minute writing to be quite good (and amusing).
      There's lots of little touches in the world that I've appreciated outside of the main story

    Fairly straight foward combat system for a turned based game, relatively ok in terms of resources (to gacha for your characters) given out each version (patch). The story itself is whilst good, not amazing - though with that said, a lot of the side content for story and lore is actually really solid writing. For example, the game has these individuals called Aeons, which are basically ascended individuals - gods (not just humanoids), that preside over a path (e.g. the preservation - protecting stuff). Now one of these aeons is called Aha, who is the aeon of elation, and this is one of the records about said aeon:

    …The Elation, seriously? I don't feel elated when I think about Aha. All I feel is chaos. No other Aeon is as much of a headache as Aha. Aha has no sense of self-consciousness, is utterly unpredictable, does everything on a whim, and plays mortals and the universe like a fiddle. According to poor Elias Salas' records, Aha once turned a Noblesse Worm into their Emanator and granted the worm fathomless intelligence, just to see if Noblesse Worms could enter the Genius Society — The answer was no. For this pointless experiment, the Elation gave the entirety of their Path's power to a worm that doesn't even have a fully developed brain, and then just discarded the creature once it had outlived its purpose. Without the Aeon's blessing, the worm died instantly and tragically. I don't know why Elias Salas recorded this in such great detail. Maybe he was shocked by this…?

    This aeon effectively gave a worm power equivalent to a god, just for shits and giggles.

    The game includes a lot of meme culture as easter eggs, and they're quite funny when you run into them. Of course, this is kinda like a side game thing, where you play when they release content and then move on till the next wave.

  I've always find it funny how whenever I pull the character I want in gacha games, I stop having interest in them. Doesn't help that the current story arc was an anticlimatic exposition fest.

  I got Kafka, and now that's done, I don't see a reason to keep playing. Cbf grinding materials to get her to 80 and doing relic farms.
