Intel Arc A730M Gaming Benchmarks Show RTX 3050 Mobile-Level Performance
https://www.tomshardware.com/news/intel-arc-a730m-gaming-ben…
Both look to be good.
A730M is/was somewhere between a 3050 and a 3060 in performance (not sure of the wattage though), depending on how much the driver has optimization for the game, so this is better by default, before accounting for having to spend another $100-120 on RAM and SSD for the barebone. I'd wait for something with Zen 4 and a 4060 to drop down to this price range personally.
Build quality, no personal experience with them, but they're both low end OEM Chinese barebone shells (this is a Clevo, the NUC is a Tongfang), so don't expect much. But Tongfang apparently is higher quality
Look like this deal is better than the A730M deal: Gigabyte already includes Rams, SSD and Windows which would cost you around $150-$250 in total.
Battery life on this seems to be around 3.5-4 hours
So this is the new Acer Nitro 5 type of deal. Decent specs for the price but depending on the 4050 TDP - but even at 40W it seems to be on par with 3050 with some games utilising Frame Generation tech to be on par with the 3060 95W. Unsure of thermal designs but honestly couldn't get any worse than my Acer Nitro 5 bought last year.
Can the video card be switched to on board graphics to save battery.
Should be 16gb at this price minimum.
I can see they pushed for the 12th gen chip and a newer 40 series card. The 8gb RAM and 512GB SSD Nvme are quite the usual combo AT this price point.
What’s faster mobile 3060 or 4050?
Only 1.9kg, not too hefty which is nice.
$1099 before anyone ask.
What U guys think,
Is this a good price?
