Samsung Galaxy A54 5G $10/$15 Per Month on a New 24/36 Months Phone Plan (from 30GB/Month $49/Month) @ Optus

43

Smallest plan you can add it to is the $49 a month, so $59 a month with the phone. I went from a $56 a month plan with more data, down to this one which still includes 30GB and is more than enough for me and is month to month without a lock in period, so effectively only cost me 36 x $4, so $140 for an almost $700 phone.

Only catch is that if you cancel the plan before device is repaid, then you have to make remaining device payments at full price of device (so $20 per month instead of only $10).

  • What a rip off. Boost prepaid so much cheaper.

  • Another day another optus fail

Don't bother with Optus. They are some desperate pricks now trying to retain customers.
Try cancelling a service with them and you get time wasting effort loop around departments just to get a cancellation.

Good luck with a 24/36 months nightmare with them.

    • I tried and they gave me 3 months free… might just stick with them till last free month then port out.

  • You'd think at this stage that Optus would be trying to attract customers

  • 24/36 month rip off, terrible price

    $15x24 + $35x24 =$1,200 plus 25,000 flybuys

Your proposed '$59 total' 30GB deal:
    36month X $59 =
    $2124

Outright Phone = $699 (not on special)
    36 months of MooseMobile (Optus) 40GB plan = $948
    $1647

Cheaper outright, with a larger Optus Network plan.
Only downside is that Moose doesn't get 5G yet; but the whispers are thats changing soon, and even if it's not, the less congested (thanks to 5G) 4G+ network is still lightning fast.
I certainly wouldn't pay an extra $477 just for the 5G spectrum.
