Interesting, I have always had good tracking with CR. Shopback on the other hand is a different story.
Actually, my question was, how often Sony provide this cashback offer. Like every 2-3 months or every 6 months, like that.
oh! I notice it was quite frequent recently, but not as high at 14%. Just bought a earbuds at 8% cashback about 2 weeks ago. Couldn't tell you reliably, sorry.

Do you have an Amex card? They sometimes have cashback offers if you use their card to pay at Sony. I have the one with no annual fee and have received these Sony offers maybe once every 6 months?
Just notice the cap at $200 for CR, has it been there before? Thinking about buying a big TV but not sure if it's worth it with the cap
Cashrewards & Sony for me has failed tracking 100% of the time. Doesnt matter if I'm on my desktop, phone + app, wifi at work, wifi at home - all browsers with no adblockers, pihole, and all cookies allowed, doesn't matter if its full priced or price matched - 100% of the time, tracking has failed for me. This is over 5 transactions over the past 2 months, some of them high value ones.
I've had to raise manual claims each and every time and I've yet to know if they will be honoured.
To your original questioned, I bought price-matched item right away during the recent 14% and 8% Sony cashback, if you're asking how long they stay in the cart, I don't know, but if you're asking how fast after they track (with cashrewards) - the answer from my experience is basically never.
