Hi guys
I just got a 12 kw huawei PV system installed and looking for some tips from other people with the same system .
My FusionSolar app currently only shows yield and doesn't show self consumption or grid export figures. Anyone know if this requires physical configuring from the tech or if i'm just missing something?

oh interesting - all my other friends with solar (albeit not with huawei inverters) are able to see how much the generate, use and export. Any idea if this is a huawei thing?
No, it's all brands. There's a consumption meter that is installed in the switchboard. You can have it added at any time, a few hundred for the device and the electrician to install.
I have the same invertor and it won't show your consumption.
To gauge this info, I've had a powerpal installed (for free).
seems like its only free for VIC :(
i have huawei inverter but didnt open the app for years - even now forgot which app i think there were two in google play store similar name but only one is the right app
any idea if you rmemeber it shownig consumption data?
damn just reinstall the app and now it is showing abnormal comm between management system and equipment warning and no data
You need to have a separate Huawei Smart Meter installed
thanks guys. judging from comments, looking like you need additional measuring device to read it (maybe the other solar installers for my friend's setups included it, i did go with the cheapest option afterall) . any recommendations for cheapest solution to get this data? its looking like powerpal, which is $129 (free if VIC)
Usually you need some sort of consumption metering as an add on to the inverter to do that. Or you can go with third party solutions such as solar analytics or iotawatt.
