$15 Cashback on a $70 Everyday Extra Annual Plan @ Citibank

70

Just received a targeted monthly cashback offers email from Citi Australia for my Prestige credit card with the above stated offer.

Not sure how good Everyday Extra is now since it's been largely nerfed. Keen to hear others' thoughts on whether this deal is any good. Sticking with Amazon Prime for now.

I now waste 1hr+ doing shopping in store to get the 10% discount. Probably not worth my time despite my $300 shop. I do this twice a month, once for Everyday Extras and once for Woolworths mobile discount.
More likely than not to renew either Everyday Extras or my Woolworths Delivery subscriptions. Dirty move by Woolworths especially since I was only about 6 months into my annual subscriptions when they changed the terms. Only consolation is 3 months free they offered to existing subscribers.

If the discount was available online then it's 100% worthwhile as it's super easy recover the cost in one shop

    • You are spot on about time wastage. I can't believe they got rid of the online discount component. Does that mean orders like direct-to-boot and pick up do not qualify for 10% off?

Service must be dying since they are likely trying to recuperate some of the loss subscribers by offering this type of discount. First time, personally, seeing a discount on this subscription service.

      • Correct, no online orders will get the discount irrespective of whether it is delivered or click and collect

        • That, alone, is enough reason to never consider touching this service.

95% of our groceries are booked for online pick up/direct to boot, via a curated list of groceries from their half price specials. What a sad regression for the service.

@A female dog: They were obviously missing out on too much money with big online orders and nerfed this offer to the ground. Sad, it was good before but useless now

@cook99: They probably couldn’t change their systems to stop double dipping the discount online then instore 😉

  • I got the same, but $25 off $70 spend.

    Definitely not worth it though.

    • Its worth it for $45 i think. Or $3.75/month.

You are getting 1 free supermarket item per month and if you can spend over $37.50 across WW and Big W per month you are clearing the membership cost.

      • It may be for some! I personally avoid Woolworths (unless they have half price specials on brands I like) and will shop at Aldi/Greengrocer/Butcher for 20-30% cheaper overall.

They’ve hiked way too much, way too frequently, and like OP and other commenters here I only really saw value in the time saving approach of online ordering.

  • This is targeted, I don't get the offer (premier card)

  • ah its woolworth thing… got it… but not interested… flybuys better..

    • How is flybuys better?

  • In the description it says “join an annual plan and continue after your free trial” to get the cashback.

But then it says “by 27th August”. Free trials are for 1 month so it won’t charge your card until after this date.

Another confusing details from Shittybank 😂

could be for someone already used trial. tested mine it went to pay $70 or $7 page directly.

    • Has anyone tried clarifying this with Citi?
I subbed today with $25 back offer, will see if they honour the cash back.
