      yes. I've bought this one at it fits nicely and it should be faster than the internal one, although I couldn't really notice a difference yet.

      All of the documentation I can see refers to one nvme 'expansion' slot. But the same official documentation discusses storing games in either the 'console storage' or the SSD once installed into the expansion slot. So am thinking the initial storage is very much not to be touched so they don't want to cause confusion by discussing it as taking up a slot.
