Managed to buy the last one at my local Woolies. The receipt says activated… does it actually mean that? I was planning to use it in a few months time… The packaging does say expires with 12 months of purchasing the sim. Sounds confusing

Has anyone successfully used wish gift card to purchase it? I tried to use it today but it got declined. Was told by cashier we cannot use gift card to purchase sim. Is that right?
I have previously found that using a WW egift card to buy one of these at self checkout did not work. I have seen it claimed that if your purchase also includes groceries then it may work. I plan to try this tomorrow.
Okay, I bought one this morning with a bunch of groceries, but paying with a WW egift card still did not work. The attendant at self checkout said that's normal, and offered to remove the SIM pack so it could be purchased separately, so I could use an egift card for the groceries. I declined and used an alternative payment method because I was using my WW monthly 10% off (for having a WW mobile plan), and the 10% off also applies to the SIM pack if it's part of the same purchase.
My Amaysim plan is ending… guessing this is for new customers only? Here in QLD I find the data speed up around 75mbps, which is amazing. Ts and Cs state that it uses 3g for voice, which is interesting.
