Some consider these to be the best single blade nippers for plastic model building.
It's now only a dollar more than the previous deal back in June 2023.

If you havent already, get waterslides for the Nu, it's worth the $10 and the effort!
Where do you buy the waterlides?
I got some rando brand UV reactive ones from Japan Amazon when in Japan, but the below link look like a better assortment than what I got. That brand is sold by hobby shops for the same price, so I think you'll be fine:

Omg yes like butter I have a couple of nippers and these just need some light pressure and it goes through so smoothly, hardly get nubs as much as other nippers too.
So these cutters will cut truly flat (less filing down compared to ordinary cutters?)
Well much cheaper cutters are available if you simply want a flat cut. What the spn-120 does better is it gives you a sharper cut with less plastic stress marks. You'll get a better result from filing as well though.
I've heard that although these cut extremely well and clean, they are unfortunately not very durable and are more prone to breaking compared to other cutters.
It's recommended to reserve this cutter for smaller and precise cuts but use another cutter for everything else.
Impeccable timing! Was checking this last night and they were around $100 mark. Thought I’d wait and check ozb for deals and boom! Thanks, OP.
I was checking it yesterday as well lol

Better than Super Knips from Knipex for $35?
Thank you. Missed out on the last deal but got one now.
This nipper is Godsent for cleaning up nubs but not good for cutting parts off runners as they are single blades and quite fragile. Just get a general brand nipper for cutting off parts and use this as cleaning up tool and you'll be good to go.
I usually use the nipper to cut the parts directly off the nubs while attached to the runner. I don't cut the parts out of the runner. Am I doing it wrong?
No not wrong per se but if you noticed there would be white stress marks or leftover plastics on the parts. If cut too close then you'd need to sand it but if cut not close enough you could clean up with a hobby knife and then sand it down.
So rules of thumb would be: cut the parts out of the runner but not too close to the part itself. Then use either this nipper or hobby knife to cut down the rest and sand it if needed. Just give it a more even and less rugged finish that's all.

Mine has finally arrived.
Halfway through building RG Nu Gundam with these and I can say that they make assembly way less tedious. They seriously cut through the plastic like butter. Usual caveats apply: don't cut the thick runners with them, cut slowly and steadily and don't drop them.
