There are banned stores? How is that good for bargains?

    • +1

      It's only 59c difference anyway

    • +1

Several reasons. Usually employees constantly sockpuppetting or lack of business details and banned for good reason.

In this case it's Veloreo (not Bunnings), which had a lack of business details in the past. Looks like they've now updated their website / business details now though.

  • 256GB V30, A2 rating, UHS-I (which means many devices will not recognise the advertised read/write speeds).

For 99% of people the Samsung will be a much better buy:
    $28.99 256GB Samsung Evo https://www.amazon.com.au/Samsung-Memory-Adapter-Limited-War…

    • $28.99 256GB Samsung Evo

Will this be suitable for use inside a DJI Mini 3 Pro drone (shooting 4K @ 60fps)?

I have the Samsung PRO Endurance which I use for a dashcam, but would be overkill for anything other than outdoor security cams or dash cams.

      • +1

According to the specs on the website, the maximum bitrate is 150Mbps/~18MB/s

Max Video Bitrate 150 Mbps https://www.dji.com/au/mini-3-pro/specs

The EVO Plus has a guaranteed minimum write of 30MB/s (V30) rating, so the EVO Plus already exceeds the speed requirements of the drone.

        • Thanks for the detailed analysis. Appreciate it.

Just wanted to get your thoughts on the PRO Plus model?
          https://www.amazon.com.au/Samsung-Memory-Adapter-Limited-War…

Will the higher read & write speeds even be recognised by most devices considering it is also V30, A2 rating & UHS-I interface?

          • +1

@DoctorCalculon: Nope! Only compatible readers will recognise the faster speeds. Have tested it in Sony cameras and in device there is no difference with the EVO (same with the Extreme Pro).

  • I believe this is not suitable for security cameras.

    • +1

Well yes but its not really marketed towards them anyway, the selling point of this card is speed which is barely a concern for security cameras. Would be complete overkill.

If anyone cares enough they'll buy endurance cards for security cameras/dashcams.

      • I’m waiting on a 256gb deal on endurance micro sd cards🤞

        • +1

Seems to be a few cards out there at a similar price to this deal at the moment, not the cheapest pricing but if you need one right now…

          https://www.amazon.com.au/Samsung-Endurance-microSDXC-Monito…
          https://www.amazon.com.au/Sandisk-Endurance-microSDXCTM-Adap…

          • @eecan: This review actually recommends the OP deal for 4K security cameras and not the ones you linked … funnily enough:

            https://www.safewise.com/au/best-microsd-cards/

Though I have seen many conflicting reviews! Maybe for 4K you need something really fast as well…

            • @MuddyClear: I'm pretty confident that they have no idea what they are talking about because they make a big deal of the higher advertised speeds of the card but most security cameras will be limited to UHS-I speeds (104MB/s).

It's all dependent on the bitrate of the video codec for recording. I can record 4k using the Samsung EVO cards fine on a real camera and the Sandisk Extreme Pro offers no uplift in capability because it is rated exactly the same for video at V30 (I have both cards)

    • I used these in my viofo dash cams and Imou and eufy cams, seems ok for now - were you referencing long term write/ read? To be fair I only recently changed them over…

      • +1

Personally I would test them by pulling them out and seeing if the videos are playable on a computer or thumb drive and not are corrupted.

        • The Imou/ eufy ones been okay, as can access the videos via the app. Good point on the dash cam one though.

  • If it had dual memory card slots it would be almost perfect

    • Did you mean to comment on the A6700 deal?

      • Does it have one or 2 memory card slots?

        • +2

One memory card slot, which is why I thought you might have meant to comment there since the comment about dual slots makes no sense for this particular post?

          • @eecan: Well if it accepted 2 cards, it would be perfect.
2 card slots are common in higher-end cameras in case of card corruption, you've got a backup.

While you might not be shooting a whole wedding on this, it would be a suitable bit of side kit for B-roll or candid kinds of situations you don't want to miss out on.

            • @Oldmate88: I mean I agree with all that for cameras but how does the dual memory card slot comment apply to the SanDisk 256GB Extreme Pro? Dual memory card slots aren't a feature on microSD cards.

              • +1

@eecan: I think you might be onto something. microSD cards inside of microSD cards, it'd be like a memoryception.

              • @eecan: Dear god, I need sleep. My apologies, I was talking about the new Sony a6700
