Hello patrons,
Based on your use and experience, what brand and model would you recommend for someone who is budgeted to $600. Imp. things for me are: -
- Good vacuum and mopping function
- Good after sales from the brand
- Mopping feature is imp as the house is tiled
- Economical spares
Thank you
Being the owner of 2 Robotic Vacuum Mops, the Roborock S7+ ($950)and Botslab 360 S8 Plus ($460), I have to say that the Botslab 360 is exceptional value and works as expected.
Botslab 360 S8 Plus:
Negatives:
1. Water tank is black so it's difficult to see the water level
2. Mop is cumbersome to install, the mop plate needes to be removed
Positives:
1. Very good app with plenty of customisation
2. Good Mapping
Roborock S7+:
Negatives:
1. Not a lot of customising when scheduling, you can't select to do multiple passes
2. Not the best at picking up pet fur as reported also by Choice Mag
Positives:
1. Solid unit
2. Good Mapping
3. Very easy to replace mop
To make the Roborock better, I purchased a Roborock Brush/Rubber roller made for another model and trimmed the brush about 3mm and this now picks up pet fur much better even though it's noisier due to the rubber section being firmer than original, but has improved our hall runner and entrance mat as the harder rubber section tends to beat the short carper pile.
As for sales, I can't say as I haven't required any at this stage
