Darrell Lea shops to close

The new owner will not retain the shops. Jobs will go and that's sad. But there should be some closing down sales, so keep an eye out.

        Never liked licorice but peanut brittle is always nice :)

          Yep, licorice is certainly an acquired taste…I grew up with it so I can't kick the habit!

          I don't know if you're old enough to remember the Masterfood/Nestle 'Scorched Peanut Bar'; but if you like chocolate & peanut brittle you would have been in heaven! :)

    Poor employees.

    Makes it even harder to find sugar-free cooking chocolate now.

    Yes, crap chocolate, but obviously some people liked it and they contributed to the economy.

    I (and many others!) spent the majority of my teenage years meeting "in front of Darrel Lea" in Adelaide .. well then, that's a bummer :(
