Hi there.
I’ve never done boxing but I’m keen to explore it. I’m in the north shore of Sydney. I just can’t afford training packages I’ve seen at “pure” boxing gyms. I’m wondering if anyone knows of any cheap way of getting into the sport without draining the bank account?
I’m thinking any gyms that have classes or any left field ideas…
Thanks.

Tried the local PCYC?
Didn’t realise this was a thing. Thanks
Start with shadow boxing, there is a YouTube tutorial by Tony Jeffries that looked pretty good.
Everyone thinks they will like boxing until they get punched on the nose.
Boxing equipment is one of those things that's super cheap second-hand (because lots 9/10 people who tried it don't persist with it and end up with punching bags and gloves and things just sitting around unused). So try ebay and facebook marketplace for cheap equipment.
Then start with youtube videos on basics.
Then find your local PCYC (and I think maybe some YMCAs might still do it?) to find sparring partners.
Cheers Cartoon Connection.
