This is a decent deal for anyone looking for a 512GB UHS-II SD card (higher speed required by many modern cameras especially for video). I've used the 256GB variant from ProGrade and it's worked well for my Canon R7.

I think this is the cheapest it has ever been.

  • Good price for the V90 512GB as well @ $659.99 if you are restricted to that format https://www.amazon.com.au/ProGrade-Digital-UHS-II-Memory-512…

If you are shooting Sony and want high speed + high capacity cards I'd be taking the Angelbird CF-A 1TB cards instead for ~$780 AUD (525 USD shipped from their website)

Can someone pls educate me as to why you wouldn't take the Sabrent 512gb over this?

    • No idea. I have a Sabrent in my Sony a9 and it works fine.

      • Yeah I have the 256gb in my X-S20 and its great.

      • I’ve got a couple of the Sabrent’s for filming with the A7IV and FX3 and they do a great job.

    • That Sabrent looks slightly faster according to the description. Can it sustain those speeds if you're taking loads of huge photos in quick succession tho?

      • Filled a9 buffer with 240 raws and took 36 seconds to clear.

I was just about to write that lol. The sabrent 512gb is faster read and write (not by much) but at nearly half the price.
IMO this isn't the best of deals.

Probably comes down to brand preference and reputation / reliability (SanDisk, Samsung, Kingston, Lexar etc)
