Samsung Galaxy Watch Redemption Status

Hi peeps who ordered Samsung s23 series through Samsung online, telstra, TGG or JB- HIFI and claiming bonus Galaxy Watch 5. I got it from TGG with Telstra plan. Any progress on your redemption? This is what mine looks like.
I applied for the redemption.
Day 1.- Awaiting Verification
Day 3 - Verified
Day 5 - Reviewed
Day 24 - No Update at all, No emails, No tracking link.

Any idea on how much longer it would take? Was looking to gift the watch for a mates birthday due in next 3 weeks.
I did read the redemption Ts & Cs where it states it could take up-to 60 days for product to be delivered. Please share your status if you are on the same boat.

      Have tried contacting Samsung on previous occasions. With their terrible chain of command they just keep on sending me to another department. Talking hours of wait time here. Just figured it would be faster to check with oz bargains peeps.
      On my last attempt I got to this part:
      You may also send email to [email protected] or call 1300 362 603(Option 9 then 5) if you have questions about the redemption.
      Did email them but have yet to receive a reply, has been 4 days. Haven’t got a perfect time to call them and be on call wait list.

      • I ordered a few items from them, some within days and some took months. But I wasn't in a hurry. Its a redemption, maybe they don't have it in stock yet?

        • Could likely be the case. Thanks. Just wondering how many from the ozbargain have applied on redemption site trying to do guesswork depending on different people’s outcome.

    I sent of an email asking for an update on time frame for dispatch. They didn't really answer that query but they did let me know they're run out of stock of the Graphite colour and that instead I'll receive the Silver colour.
    As everyone else who's shared their claim updates lodged later than myself, it's probably safe to assume that will also be the case for you guys.
    I gave the number a call just now and they couldn't give me any more info. They just reiterated that the T&Cs state 'up to 60 days for delivery'.

    I'm also in the same boat, 'Reviewed' status since 5/07.

  • My watch suddenly turned up a couple of weeks back, without any intimation. The status changed from Reviewed to Shipped to Delivered a week after I got the watch.

    Did the online chat and they asked me to email or call. I emailed, no reply. The chat said it could take up to 60 days.

    My friend did the redemption on 17 June and received the watch within 2 weeks.

  • I've also tried contacting by email and also received the generic 60 days from dispatch. But they couldn't tell me when they were going to dispatch it.

    • Update: I received my watch in the mail today (29 August).
      It was marked shipped on 9 August.
      I received an email from Auspost saying I had a parcel arriving from "CONSORTIUM - NSW" on 25 August.
      Got an email from Samsung on 28 August to say it had been shipped.

      The watch I received was the Watch6 44mm in Graphite.
      It's coming guys!

    "Shipped" but also got an automated graphite OOS email on 18/07, still waiting.

    • Watch 5 Silver arrived today. Emailed them last Wednesday 2nd asking if I was also getting the upgrade to 6 but have had no reply. Did get an email with tracking details though 1 hour after the watch arrived stating "Shipment Started"…

    Just got an email that they have exhausted all Watch 5s and now instead they will send Watch 6 44mm LTE. Not bad at all and pretty good form from Samsung.

        Exactly same for me too. Hopefully its a watch 6. Can’t complain even if its 5 as I only paid 545 + Telstra plan

        • Wow how'd you manage that? I only got mine for 800 through the Telstra and JBHIFI plan, wasn't able to price match Amazon

          • @AlphaGamma128: I got the 24 month 69$ plan from tgg which gave me 1100 off 23 ultra getting it down to 545. I was already on a 69$ phone plan so it was not a heavy hit for me.

            545 for 23 ultra and watch 6 seems a cracking deal for me as I can always claim my phone bill in tax season.

    I had the status shipped as of yesterday 8:30 with no tracking?
    Those who have received email about watch 5 not available and they will send out new watch 6
    When did the email arrive? Did it arrive after status change to shipped?

    • I think you will get the 6. I assume everyone who has not received it by now will get the 6. The email was sent on the 1st August. Your email probably went to your junk folder. My status is: Shipped 10/08/2023 11:59 but no tracking details. The last email I received was:

      Your claim {{claim number}} has been approved and will shortly begin the dispatch and delivery process.
      When your gift is ready for delivery, you will receive an email with the tracking details.
      The dispatch and delivery process can take up to 60 days, this process cannot be expedited.

      So, it could be 60 days from now, sweat.

      People who ordered online have been recieving their GW6 orders since last Wednesday.

      I expect the gift redeemers will be last in line. I tried calling the promo hotline today to get the tracking # and no one answers.

  • My status was updated from pending shipping to shipped as of 15/8/23 but has yet to be given the tracking number.

    • Don't hold your breath. Mine was supposedly shipped on the 9/8 and i still haven't received it. No tracking either.

      Their 1300 number for redemptions team is dead. No one has replied to the telco-promo's email either. General samsung support cant help you either, they palm you off to the redemptions line or email

      • That sucks, how is this even legal? I'd be more understanding if they atleast reply to their email or phone but 60 days for every step of the way just makes me feel like im getting shafted

  • Mine was shipped on the 10/08 and I have not received it, no tracking number either. I emailed them last time and received a reply in 10 days.

    I shall remember this experience before jumping to another redemption promotion.

    What a terrible company.

    I purchased the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic.
    I got a trade in for a Note10+ for $150.

    I was promised the bonus band.

    The bonus band was out of stock at the time of ordering…

    1st issue: the trade-in company reckons the device isn't as described. Don't say why or how. They charged me a $150 fee for "misgrading". That's extortionate and so convenient… no idea if they'll bother sending the device back or they just keep it.

    2nd issue: I am apparently not eligible for the bonus band. Originally chat told me to go to the redemption site. The redemption was knocked back, saying I should have got it in my cart. Now chat says I'm not eligible for the band because it wasn't applied at check-out.

    So F this company.

  • I saw the GW6 Classic 43mm today and i like that better due to the rotating dial.

    Thinking of selling the GW6 44mm (BT+LTE) from this redemption for it, thats if i ever receive it.

    My watch just arrived. It was sent via standard Aus Post with no tracking number. The Samsung portal showed that it was shipped on the 9/8/23.

    I can also confirm that the model is a Galaxy Watch 6.

    • Mine supposedly "shipped out" on 9/8 but i only got the tracking and the parcel itself today. Auspost tracking says they only got it yesterday for delivery today

    It seems like people have been getting their watches on Wednesday. Yesterday people who have status Shipped on 9/8 got them. So hopefully next Wed is for people on 10/8.

  • I had the status of shipped 9 /8, but nothing arrived Wednesday (in Brisbane)

    My email to Samsung redemptions generated the same canned response as above. And no tracking details have been provided.

    MyPost app often picks up tracking without me entering the details, but from the shipper.

    At the moment all the line items in my tracking list can be accounted for. No watch. No Signature required.

    PS. A new item just appeared. No details yet. They come later but it could be anything.

    got mine today as well. It took them 59 days since I made the claim lol.

    • I thought of doing a trade-in for the watch 6 classic, but Samsung confirmed we cant do with the 6 series watches and trade-in can be done only using older models.

          The watch supports it but More doesnt support eSIM & number sharing at all. Only Optus, Telstra and voda does

          • @flipfire: thanks i found a post where someone got a vodafone sim package, then activated it then asked vodafone to change to esim, and voila scanned the code..

    More than 70 days . still nothing. not even tracking number . No call support. long wait and cut off . If I dont hear by end of month will definitely use NCAT

  • I got approved for the promotion on the 29/08 (due to dispute)

    Closing in on a month. They will not provide a redemption number and tracking number only once shopped as it was approved via escilation…dont have portal access so hopefully it doesnt get 'lost' in the systenlm
