Never even heard of them before. Imagining maybe these could be good for marking freezer items, like in a chest freezer? Or maybe they work in the wet. Dunno.

Are you sure that it's the Extreme version, and not the older and ordinary Sharpie?.
ooops, i just checked. it is the ordinary sharpie.
told our purchasing dept we need extreme sharpies. they asked why. i told them because we need it, then i walked away. received work email shortly, and let me know it will be in the order coming in next week.
so unfortunately i have to wait a little bit, but i will get the extreme sharpie next week. i will see how it differs from the ordinary one.

The ink is supposed to be more fade resistant. Well that's what it says on the front of the retail packaging. So it's supposed to be better quality ink.
@hollykryten: interesting, the normal one does pretty darn good. i guess this would be great for people in xtreme conditions (hot, cold, humid, etc…) Probably overkill for the average person, but i will try it out and compare the regular and xtreme.
