I was looking for a temporary VPN to use while waiting for a better deal to come along and came across this.
I probably wouldn't pay $60 usd for it but thought I'd take a gamble on the 90% cashback expecting it might not even track but was pretty happy to get the cr email after just 17 minutes.

I bought this deal when they were A$50. It is a lifetime deal but you have to contact them every 5 years to renew for 5 years and pay nothing.
i have had the lifetime plan for more than 5 years. After 5 years just have to chat with them to renew another year. Quick and easy.
Not all countries available with Ivacy if you have 'relocation' plans to Argentina specifically. Other popular destinations like India and Turkiye works fine.

At the top it says lifetime (I can see where OP got that assumption), then scroll down a bit to the blue box and it says 5 years…

Correct. I've purchased the 'lifetime' subscription in the past and there are notes saying to 'renew' every 5 years. Haven't had to renew yet.
It's okay for a back-up, but even streaming free-to-air services (.e.g BBC UK) from overseas locations can be a little slow.
they rely on people forgetting to ask them to renew for free.

My account worked again. and has ever since. They're a great backup VPN. not great for streaming (although they previously flew under the radar a few years ago when BBC & Netflix were playing whack-a-mole with VPN providers.
They're based in Hong Kong which might worry some, but probably means they're not 5/7/13/etc eyes compliant. The Chinese/HK govt tend not to be overly concerned by western copyright complaints/demands.
For the price they're great. Their support is usually quite quick. I had an issue last year with the Android app which wouldn't stay signed in. within an hour they're replied with a link to a beta release to test out. that fixed the issue.

It’s good enough for sailing the high seas but that’s about all I use it for. They do have a mobile app, rarely use but seemed to work. Has lots of countries but I use TunnelBear if I want something specific. Tried with Netflix us ages ago, quality wasn’t great then but may have improved. Could try again tonight. Anyone else have experience?

I have the lifetime subscription. It still expired snd i had to mail them with the invoice to extend it. I think surfshark workes better for me

The VPN speeds can be rather slow when compared to other more established/branded VPN providers.
Access to streaming services can be hit and miss due to streaming services detecting the connection when connected through VPN.
I thought I'd give it a go. On the website it claims 'All Plans unblock BBC iPlayer, Disney+, Hulu & 16 major Netflix Regions including US, FR, JP, UK, Aus, De & Ca.' I'll be very surprised if this is true though.
Cost me $88.40 AUD and tracked within minutes with an amount of $76.94.
No option to 'relocate' to Argentina.
So far seems like total junk. Installed their app on my Android tablet and I'm getting an error message 'There's a problem with the connection. Please try again later' when I try to connect to any server. I've never had any issues using other VPNs on this device (used both Surfshark and PIA previously).
Anyone else having these issues? If so, any idea how to resolve it?
Just tried on my Fire TV stick and encountered the same issue. Total junk from my perspective.
Same here. see comment below. Avast wanted to shut it down at every step. Was on to support and was told there are other such reports and they're on to it. I'll update my comment below if/when I get an update.

in features, reliability & speed: probably not, but if you want it to be on-par/better than NordVPN, expect to pay more.
Anyone else having issues downloading the app, setting up the app, connecting the app, and then updating the app? Avast sees FileRepPup and shuts it down every step of the way.

Don't think a scam but I ran every anti-malware/spyware/virus after downloading the app and found nothing, no malware. Just Avast didn't like the app at all.

Cashrewards newbie here… I got the confirmation email from them about half hour after purchase from Ivacy. It states that it is in pending mode and estimated approval ~100 days. What! Is that normal?

Bad points • Downloaded file was flagged as a threat by Windows; Ivacy support sent us a lower version when we informed them
• Purchase was set as a recurring payment • Cancellation process is tedious (had to contact customer support) • Foreign exchange fee incurred
Checked, no recurring payment on the/my 5yr/lifetime plan. Had USD in paypal so no fees. Cancellation, I might do that next if they don't have a fix soon.
I'm finding speed is throttled on the old version they sent to replace the latest, see link above, and support are stalling on my request for cancellation and refund.

Absolutely DO NOT bother with Ivacy.
I'm on year 4 of my 5-year 'plan' and I've been speed-throttled to 10Mbps down for the last year and a bit.
Their support is a joke, they don't bother answering legit concerns and ghost you if you prove that they're being shithouse. DO NOT give them the money up-front.
