Olyumpus mini pen e-pm1 still worth it?

I am able to get the mini pen from olympus for $197, wondering if it still worth it as i am not upto date on the new camera tech scene.

Price is from goodguys who willing to match HN super saturday price $348 , less $50 cash back, less gst ( traveling soon) , less 20% using GG cards = $197

I am just looking for the best bargain camera, somthing you wont find cheaper at any other time, turns out the mini pen is it cause of the $50 cashback.

So is it still a go even though new tech on its way and also new models will replac this one?

As for type of photographer i am, pretty much point and shoot, thats only cause i neve got into SLR but it does intrest me.

    That is a really good deal. It's a nice camera. You might want to consider purchasing a pancake lens as well to make it more compact.

    Hey its NOT $197, those GG cards are in effect cash. Just letting you know, so you dont fall into the old giftcard trap of thinking… :)

      Yes true it is cash bu its discounted cash for me and buying stuff at GG is the only way to get face value, cant sell em at face value thus not in effect cash in my thinking.

      Like beer goggles, i got bargian goggles on!

    one or two lens? it was $348 less $50 cash back at HVN 29 June for twin lens.

      Yeah saw your post previous at chatswood store, you got a good deal bu i dontthink anyone been able to replicate. that must a been a one off bargain unicorn.

      Your cam still going strong i hope, any advice on using it?

    I love using this cam. I purchased from HN awhile back on special, then bought the 14mm pancake les from eBay as per fellow OzBargainers advice. For me this is perfect. The outfit is very compact with pin sharp results and shooting options you can't get from a compact. I would highly recommend this camera.
