Amazon Lightning Deal for this Gan Charger.

Expires end of today, 14th July 2023

245W gasp is from memory, the highest ever wattage I've ever seen for a Gan charger. The one I recently bought from the Toocki AliExpress deal was 140W and significantly cheaper ~ A$45 and I've loved it.

Buy if you need it but I suppose tread with caution?

  • Seem to be about the going rate for the same (though differently branded) product on Aliexpress

I grabbed the Toocki GaN 140W and it has been excellent. Looks like it's AU$43.34 (Inc tax) on AliExpress at the moment.

Is it a genuine Toocki though?

      • Seems to be the same listing as the previous deal.

  • Excuse my ignorance but what devices can be charged with this?

    • +6

      Devices which have a battery

      • *rated to charge at 245w

          Total ouput power 245W(USB C1: 140W max, USB C2/C3: 100W max, USB A: 22.5W max )

If you are asking what device can use the 245W charging, then none. It is a sum of all available power across all ports. That means, unlike other chargers, this one can for example charge one 140W laptop, two 30W phones and two 22.5W phones, which may be handy if you have whole family on holiday and want to quickly charge all your devices.
If the charger has lower budget, e.g. 60W, and then gives you still 4 ports, then the budget has to be split among available ports, making the chargin often at a really slow speed around 10-15W if you plug multiple devices at the same time.

Sure, you can have multiple chargers, but that takes space and weight, and then you may find not enough power outlets in the room etc etc…
Not a perfect, but surely interesting device which will find its customers.

245W?! Is this going to superseded the Heymix heaters?

  • Are there any good GaN charger with usual ports and AC outlet?

The Baseus Desktop charger ones are pretty good quality build.

      • Yep, I've got one of these. Lencent had a 65W one on Prime sale - now back to $50 but seem decently reviewed too. If you don't need a high wattage output (ie you don't need fast charging, say for headphones, older tablets for kids etc), then you can save a few bucks and get a cheaper unit like this one though of course that's mainly just a powerboard with USB outlets. Don't forget the AC outlet is just a passthrough, so the stated wattage for these type of adapters is for the USB ports only.

        • I got the lencent one delivered today…it is bigger than I expected. I doubt it's really GaN TBH…my 65W laptop charger from both Lenovo and HP are like half its size in volume. But it is cheapish at the price offered in the prime deal. Will use it at home as desktop charger, it's too big and heavy to use as a travel one.

          • @hippo2s: Ya I got the lencent one during prime but in doubt if it's real GaN or just labelled so.

  • i highly doubt this would work on the rog flow lineup, asus seems to have some kind of proprietary usb-c ID that detects if youre using an asus verified charger

  • Got this one yesterday. Not used it yet but its damn heavy! Feels like double the weight of my other, lower wattage, "Gan" chargers.
